  • Have to side with Uncle Sam on this one. This was apparently stolen property belonging to the people of the United States. As an aside, I don’t understand why the Government melted down these beautiful coins in the first place. Seems like they would store just as easily as bars. Maybe they wanted to make them harder to steal! :-)
