My February birthday fund-raising campaign for this website, Behind the Black, is now over. Despite a relatively weak initial three weeks, the last week was spectacular, making this campaign the second best ever.

Thanks to every person who donated or subscribed. It continues to astonish me that people who can read my work for free like it enough to donate money voluntarily. Words cannot express my appreciation for that support, especially in these uncertain times.

If you have been a regular reader and a fan of my work and have not yet donated or subscribed, please consider doing so. I take no ads, I keep the website clean from pop-ups and annoying demands (most of the time). Thus, I depend entirely on my readers to support me. Though this means I am sacrificing some income, it also means that I remain entirely independent from outside pressure. By depending solely on donations and subscriptions from my readers, no one can threaten me with censorship. You don't like what I write, you can simply go elsewhere.

You can support me either by giving a one-time contribution or a regular subscription. There are five ways of doing so:

1. Zelle: This is the only internet method that charges no fees. All you have to do is use the Zelle link at your internet bank and give my name and email address (zimmerman at nasw dot org). What you donate is what I get.

2. Patreon: Go to my website there and pick one of five monthly subscription amounts, or by making a one-time donation.

3. A Paypal Donation:

4. A Paypal subscription:

5. Donate by check, payable to Robert Zimmerman and mailed to

Boehner had made a deal with Pelosi

Despite claiming that there had been no deal, John Boehner had negotiated a deal with the Democratic Party leadership to get a funding bill passed that also funded Obama’s illegal amnesty.

If there isn’t a successful revolt in the Republican Party to get Boehner replaced as Speaker, than that party will fall apart, giving more even power to the Democrats. It is unacceptable for a Republican leader to back stab his own caucus like this, and for them to accept it is as unacceptable.

Meanwhile, here are the names of the 75 House Republicans who backed the Democrats and Boehner in this back stab. I think I’d rather have Marxist Democrats in these seats than two-faced RINOs who say one thing during campaigns and then do another once elected. At least with the Marxist Democrats we’d know what we’ve got, and we can blame them when things go wrong. These Republican liars however have instead created the illusion that the left wing agenda of Obama and the Democrats is a bi-partisan effort.

Genesis cover

On Christmas Eve 1968 three Americans became the first humans to visit another world. What they did to celebrate was unexpected and profound, and will be remembered throughout all human history. Genesis: the Story of Apollo 8, Robert Zimmerman's classic history of humanity's first journey to another world, tells that story, and it is now available as both an ebook and an audiobook, both with a foreword by Valerie Anders and a new introduction by Robert Zimmerman.

The ebook is available everywhere for $5.99 (before discount) at amazon, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit. If you buy it from ebookit you don't support the big tech companies and the author gets a bigger cut much sooner.

The audiobook is also available at all these vendors, and is also free with a 30-day trial membership to Audible.

"Not simply about one mission, [Genesis] is also the history of America's quest for the moon... Zimmerman has done a masterful job of tying disparate events together into a solid account of one of America's greatest human triumphs."--San Antonio Express-News

I tend to think the only way this happens, other than outright selling out which is entirely plausible at this point, is if the republicans are so terrified of the negative PR if some terrorist action would occur while the DHS was not funded that they have agreed to this brand of selling out which empowers the presidents un Constitutional actions.

And if they have confidential security information from government agencies that says just that that IMO is the likely leverage that has been created by the Democrats. Fear and /or complicity seems to be the driver of the Republican in-actions. And keep in mind that inaction (selling out) is an action.

And the fact that the borders are so wide open by design that it is very believable that some kind of “attack” whether a false flag or genuine lone wolf attack would happen, and it may even be ensurable by certain operators who support or are directed by well positioned players. Don’t discount anything at this level of acquisition and exercise of power, trust none of them.

Saying there was a deal implies Boehner got something. If he got something, the article doesn’t say what.

It looks like the republicans are eternally afraid of the next election cycle based on how they believe the electorate will perceive them. Bohners payoff? He gets to retain power an live another day. Unfortunately reacting like this out of fear elicits no confidence from the public. Act based on your beliefs and if you have no beliefs you react out of fear and that is weak. No one wants to follow a weak leader, the Muslims call it following the strong horse.

Bohner is a weak jackass so no one will be following him. And I do not intend to demean or disparage jackass’s.

  • It’s way past the time for a third party. Everyone has been against it because it’s perceived as weakening the Republicans and allowing the Democrats to set policy, but since the Republican’s aren’t stopping the Democrats anyway, what have we got to lose?

One question….how did the United States survive for over 200 years without DHS?

  • Yeah, I’ve already noted that we didn’t need Homeland Security for most of our history. If these bastards really believed in American freedom they would have let it shut down and made that point repeatedly to the press and to the public.

    But they did not.

Can anyone else see a scary possibility with all these immigrants coming in?

What if inside 20 years, one generation or so, our new Mexican citizens start to complain about Mexico’s lack of security and how unsafe it is for their families and friends left back in Mexico?

Will they demand even more immigration or will they demand that the US government send in our military to make the streets of Mexico safe? At least in the boarder regions.
What if they see a reason that we would then have to stay in Mexico for a long time, Could or would we then allow those territories the chance to vote and become new American states?

We conservatives better find a way to connect with the wave of Southern immigrants or we will be voted out of every office.
    Religion is the fastest way.
Point out to them that its the Democratic left who wants them to loose their religion.
Its the Democratic left who wants then to start having abortions for population control.
Its the Democratic left who wants to legalize drugs. The very thing that is destroying Mexico and their very own children.
Its the left who wants to keep their children from learning English. The very language that would help them integrate into a for prosperous economy. We could use that as a point to push for a national language just like ALL other nations have except us.
Its the Democratic left who doesn’t want them to be able to chose their children’s schools with a voucher system. Thus forcing them into substandard over crowded school systems.
And its the Democratic left who wants them to depend on government services in order to make them the new slaves of the US.

Even though it was the Republicans who pushed for freeing the African American slaves and it was the Democrats who fought it all the way, we lost them to propaganda in the 60’s.

Don’t let it happen again. Engage the new immigrants and invite them into your political party.
Make sure they know a hand out is not a hand up.
