You can’t make this stuff up: Computer researchers have found that the microprocessor used by the U.S. military but made in China contains secret remote access capability.
The unnamed chip, which the researchers claim is widely used in military and industrial applications, is “wide open to intellectual property theft, fraud and reverse engineering of the design to allow the introduction of a backdoor or Trojan”, they said. … The “bug” is in the actual chip itself, rather than the firmware installed on the devices that use it. This means there is no way to fix it than to replace the chip altogether.
How stupid can our government be to buy microprocessors from the Chinese, a country that is definitely not our friend? Pretty stupid, it appears.
On Christmas Eve 1968 three Americans became the first humans to visit another world. What they did to celebrate was unexpected and profound, and will be remembered throughout all human history. Genesis: the Story of Apollo 8, Robert Zimmerman's classic history of humanity's first journey to another world, tells that story, and it is now available as both an ebook and an audiobook, both with a foreword by Valerie Anders and a new introduction by Robert Zimmerman.
The ebook is available everywhere for $5.99 (before discount) at amazon, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit. If you buy it from ebookit you don't support the big tech companies and the author gets a bigger cut much sooner.
The audiobook is also available at all these vendors, and is also free with a 30-day trial membership to Audible.
"Not simply about one mission, [Genesis] is also the history of America's quest for the moon... Zimmerman has done a masterful job of tying disparate events together into a solid account of one of America's greatest human triumphs."--San Antonio Express-News

i disagree , china is our friend , they are like a rich friend that lets you borrow money because they think you are cool and you hate hanging out with them but you do sometimes because you want money all bad , i guess it depends on what the definition of friend is
In the late 1980’s I worked at Loral Electronics Systems in Yorktown Heiths, NY, whose founder and CEO was Bernard Shwartz. I reported directly to his nephew, the Director of Cost Accounting and Government Contract Estimating. Under the Clinton administration, Loral gave China the guided rocket technology to enable it to launch satellites and balistic intercontinental missiles. Aside being a major supplyer to Isreal and providing radar counter measure technology for Isreal’s F-16s, I sensed alot of funny business at that company at that time. Bernard loved China and visited it many, many times. Traitor.
