Facebook moves to protect Islam from criticism
Even while Facebook and Twitter allow violent threats to be posted against critics of Islam, the sites are moving to censor and block posts by those critics.
What happened on that day was that Facebook and Twitter began to censor Jihad Watch as “hate speech,” in accordance with the assurances they had given to the European Union.
Facebook, immediately after concluding an agreement with the European Union, began moving aggressively against foes of jihad terror and mass Muslim migration in the West. Nina Rosenwald, the president and founder of the conservative think tank Gatestone Institute, on June 2, 2016 recorded Facebook’s haste to implement the new speech regulations: “On Tuesday, the European Union (EU) announced a new online speech code to be enforced by four major tech companies, including Facebook and YouTube. On Wednesday, Facebook deleted the account of Ingrid Carlqvist, Gatestone’s Swedish expert.”
Carlqvist’s crime, according to Rosenwald, was to take note of real crimes by Muslim migrants: “Ingrid had posted our latest video to her Facebook feed—called ‘Sweden’s Migrant Rape Epidemic.” In that video, said Rosenwald, “Ingrid calmly lays out the facts and statistics, all of which are meticulously researched.” Rosenwald added that the video was adapted from a “research paper that Gatestone published last year. The video has gone viral—racking up more than 80,000 views in its first two days. But the EU is quite candid: it is applying a political lens to their censorship…. ”
This is just one example. The article gives others, including examples where death threats against Islam’s critics are allowed to remain online.

My lifelong liberalism and allegiance to the Democrat Party evaporated the night I watched Ted Kennedy and Joe Biden conduct their high tech lynching of my fellow Georgian, Clarence Thomas. The scales fell from my eyes when I understood that “tolerant” liberals loved black people…as long as they remained subservient. I haven’t voted for a Democrat since.
But even after studying them all these years since, I am stumped as to why they are so defensive of not only a religion (when all religion seems anathema to them) but one that is 180 degrees to the humanist philosophy they insist they represent.

Both of these concepts are 180 degrees from everyone’s American interests, its just that Democrats can use these techniques because they are void of actual principles (S.O.M.) and will use anything and everything in their quest for the acquisition of power and the retention of power. At that point they get to call you a racist, or a homophobe, or a fascist, or an Islamophobe, what ever term that makes them appear to be more moral than you in the public’s eye.

Besides playing chess another pass time in my youth was watching hours and hours of shows like Jacob Bronowski’s “Ascent of man”. His voice and observations inhabit the dark recesses of my mind. But I forgot who it was who hosted the shows.

As Lee S. suggests, and I agree on this aspect of his writing, there may at some point be a violent clash and all at once through violence and conquest some level of balance will prevail. This is IMO a situation that will never and can never be resolved through negotiation and compromise.
And like the welfare state who’s parameters of reasonable operation are open ended and who’s borders are continually moved down the road, again and again until it becomes all consuming there at some point in the future where whether we participate or not there will be reconciliation and balance.
Just like any other system whether it be mechanical or conceptual, there will be balance.

I am guessing that whomever told you the “right wing” was responsible for the most terrorism probably isn’t so great at correctly assigning groups to political ideologies and there is a high chance they think the NAZI were right wing and not really socialists. This is because the postmodern global left has to scapegoat innocents rather than accept responsibility for their own movement’s actions.
As a European, I don’t think you get good information about the USA. It is all filtered through layers and layers of leftist revisions and fabrications.
I am glad you don’t like the current core beliefs of the global left but they are not some minority. In the USA, they are the ones that control the Democrat party. They are the activists, the funders, the campaign volunteers, the party staff, and the educational instructors. They are the people in power. The media doesn’t cover all of the crazy policies because if the useful idiots knew what was going on, they wouldn’t like it.
Also, the Crusades were in response to the Muslim conquest of North Africa, the Middle East, and Europe, which were Christian lands. There were a lot of things wrong with the various crusades but they were not an act of aggression against Muslims but rather an act of defense. As a European, you should know that the last jihad into Europe was not that long ago and the caliphate of the Ottoman Empire didn’t end until after WWI.
The rise of Islamism today, isn’t the fault of the USA. Islamism predates the Soviet war in Afghanistan. It isn’t just one group or one man but an interconnected host of groups whose histories go back at least to the fall of the Ottoman Empire but they represent an ideology that has motivated all of the previous caliphates.
I agree that religions change over time, but that doesn’t mean we have to be passive victims. If we don’t fight back, they will never change.
One last thing, every leftist needs to watch this man speak.

Your facts are faulty, but I suppose that, living so far away, we should not expect you to be paying close enough attention to know the actual facts about America.
The only “right wing” terrorist attack on American soil was Oklahoma City, and he was rejected by the right wing group he tried to join. In the meantime, several Islamists have attacked on American soil, such as Boston, Fort Hood, Fort Hood (again), Miami, San Bernardino, shoe bomber, underwear bomber. And that is just off the top of my head. How many right wingers have performed terrorism in your country?
In my experience, in my part of the world, left wingers insist upon PC behavior and language, and anyone who disagrees or fails to comply gets “unfriended.”
Even the (Only) Black Lives Matter groups have silenced anyone who tried to suggest that any other lives matter or, heaven forbid (read: “Black Lives Matter forbid”), that ALL lives matter. Those left-wingers don’t always shut up people with violence, but they do use shut-uppery. They also advocated violence against police, and that is what we got in the following months.
Then there was the Occupy movement (Occupy Wall Street and others), who were not so very peaceful. But then it turned out that their leaders were left-wing terrorists, planning to blow up bridges with Occupy-movement marchers on them.
But no, Lee S, you just keep on being misinformed. While you are at it, you may want to list all those “right wing terrorists” that you think keep attacking on American soil. You may have confused British “right wingers” from your younger day with American ones — and as we have learned, here on Behind The Black, “right wing” has an opposite meaning in Europe than it does in America. Are the rest of your “facts” this faulty?
It is America’s left wing that is racist — just no longer overtly racist. They project their racism onto the right wing, but they advocate policies that assume certain races are inferior and that discourage those races from gaining wealth or real influence.
