Finding out what’s in it: Home Depot joins Walgreens in dumping tens of thousands of employees from their employer heath insurance plan, because of Obamacare. Key quote:
The accelerating shift of workers to Obama’s taxpayer-funded network will likely drive up costs to taxpayers, disadvantage companies that try to pay for their employees’ health-care and make more voters dependent on health-care decisions made by Democratic officials and legislators. The switch is also making a mockery of Obama’s promise that Americans would be able to keep their pre-Obamacare insurance if they prefer. “If you like your health care plan, you’ll be able to keep your health care plan, period. No one will take it away, no matter what,” he said in June 2009. [emphasis mine]
Obama’s statement in 2009 was an obvious lie and an insult to everyone’s intelligence. Unfortunately, it appears he estimated the intelligence of too many Americans quite rightly.
On Christmas Eve 1968 three Americans became the first humans to visit another world. What they did to celebrate was unexpected and profound, and will be remembered throughout all human history. Genesis: the Story of Apollo 8, Robert Zimmerman's classic history of humanity's first journey to another world, tells that story, and it is now available as both an ebook and an audiobook, both with a foreword by Valerie Anders and a new introduction by Robert Zimmerman.
The ebook is available everywhere for $5.99 (before discount) at amazon, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit. If you buy it from ebookit you don't support the big tech companies and the author gets a bigger cut much sooner.
The audiobook is also available at all these vendors, and is also free with a 30-day trial membership to Audible.
"Not simply about one mission, [Genesis] is also the history of America's quest for the moon... Zimmerman has done a masterful job of tying disparate events together into a solid account of one of America's greatest human triumphs."--San Antonio Express-News

Sgt Myers,
You are always welcome to comment here, but I am wondering what your comment has to do with Home Depot, Obamacare, and health insurance.
I really prefer if people stay on topic.

The flip side of ‘help’ is ‘control’. If the Left really wanted to ‘help’ people as they continually claim, they’d work to empower them. In every case, though, the Left seeks to concentrate power in the hands of a few, rather than diffuse power to the many, thereby creating the vassal state they so dearly covet. Sadly, the 2012 elections demonstrated that the majority of people in this country prefer the gilded and comfortable cage to the less certain but much more satisfying state of freedom.
Having the total power of the IRS as the enforcer of this program is insane and now two companies have found the loophole in this program making sure all other companies know that they can do the same. I now find that I can no longer support such a poorly created program as the funding set aside is going to be far too small when all companies start using this loophole. Maybe the IRS will stop this loophole from being used as the hidden free wheeling agency that is backed up by the courts to only take on people that cannot afford to fight back.
