Leftist and Muslim student organizations make demands at University of Maryland

The fascists team up! 25 totalitarian student organizations at the University of Maryland have issued a list of 64 demands.

The project, known as ProtectUMD, is a collaborative effort between 25 student organizations at the University of Maryland, including Students for Justice in Palestine, Bisexuals at Maryland, and the Black Student Union. There are 64 demands across 8 subsets of students—Marginalized, American Indian, Black, Latinx, LGBTQIA+, Muslim, Pro-Palestine, and Undocumented—including scholarships for “students of marginalized communities,” a ban on Columbus Day, beginning every on-campus event with an acknowledgement that “this is Indigenous Land,” that African American professors get tenure, that preferred pronouns are included on rosters, and that “queer diversity training” is required.

Muslim students also want “one room in each major building designated for prayer” and “shuttle services to [the local mosque] for Muslim students to have access to a place of worship.” Among the Pro-Palestine demands, students want the administration to condemn the “conflation of Pro-Palestinian activism with Anti-Semitism,” claiming that “Pro-Palestinians do not reject the human rights of any group of people.” [emphasis mine]

I have highlighted the important words that indicate the totalitarian and fascist nature of these groups. They do not wish to negotiate. They aren’t interested in diversity or tolerance. They have no interest in compromise and learning to live with their neighbors. No, they demand, ban, require, and condemn. They are also racists and bigots, despising anyone who does not belong to their favored minority groups. They also expect free scholarships and tenure for those same groups, merely because of their race, gender, sexual preference, or leftwing political beliefs.

Note also how the leftists here have no problem allying themselves with Islam, a religion that routinely murders homosexuals and oppresses women. This should reveal to everyone their priorities, which isn’t protecting the rights of “marginalized communities” but is instead the acquisition of power, which once obtained they will then use to brutally oppress anyone who opposes them.

I fully expect the administration of the University of Maryland to agree to all their demands, mainly because most modern academic administrators are just as bigoted and totalitarian and leftist as these fascists.

Genesis cover

On Christmas Eve 1968 three Americans became the first humans to visit another world. What they did to celebrate was unexpected and profound, and will be remembered throughout all human history. Genesis: the Story of Apollo 8, Robert Zimmerman's classic history of humanity's first journey to another world, tells that story, and it is now available as both an ebook and an audiobook, both with a foreword by Valerie Anders and a new introduction by Robert Zimmerman.

The ebook is available everywhere for $5.99 (before discount) at amazon, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit. If you buy it from ebookit you don't support the big tech companies and the author gets a bigger cut much sooner.

The audiobook is also available at all these vendors, and is also free with a 30-day trial membership to Audible.

"Not simply about one mission, [Genesis] is also the history of America's quest for the moon... Zimmerman has done a masterful job of tying disparate events together into a solid account of one of America's greatest human triumphs."--San Antonio Express-News

Mr. Zimmerman, you are right. That leftits/Marxist are not interested in political diversity. They demand (race, ethnic, sex and others) diversity only as political measure in war on White people (specifically on White man). It is cultural marxist agenda.

    Ideology: http://www.thefreedictionary.com/ideology

    Religion: http://www.thefreedictionary.com/religion

Islam combines these two modes of beliefs, our Constitution makes not distinction between them.

Americans need to make some kind of Constitutional definition / distinction between the two, if we are unable to then the First Amendment becomes the means of the country’s and the Constitutions destruction under the label of “fairness” and “political correctness” over time.

These are the intellectual / conceptual / legal weapons of the left and of Islam against our country. Sounds harsh and un American to some, but not to me. Come to America to become American and hold nothing over the foundation of our freedom, the Constitution and I am all for your success. Come to America to bring here what you are fleeing from there in order to recreate it here, then be considered a subversive and be invited to leave a failure.

  • Cotour: Why are you posting a link to the very article I am linking to in my own post? It implies you didn’t even bother to read my post, or the article I was commenting on.

    Very puzzling.

I did not open / read the article but did scan the subject matter and commented based on it. My fault, I did not realize they were the same.

beginning every on-campus event with an acknowledgement that ‘this is Indigenous Land,’

They must mean: ‘like every other land on the planet.’

Their demands do not seem to be well thought out. But then, leftists’ demand never seem to be. Occupy Everywhere made a similarly moronic Declaration of … whatever, patterned after the well thought out Declaration of Independence.

For instance: “but corporations do not seek consent to extract wealth from the people and the Earth
Who are they kidding? (Oh, right. They kid themselves.) Those corporations seek consent from the governments of the territories in which they operate. Business licenses, zoning, mineral rights, etc. When they make their sales in order to “extract that wealth from the people” of the Earth, those sales are made voluntarily by the people of the Earth.*

These people are taking their cues from the tyrannical US government, which makes its own demands, requiring us to behave and spend as it desires, not as We the People desire.

That these people are looking for power to lord over the rest of us is not surprising, considering that they have been required to participate in events such as Columbus Day parades.

Oh, wait! That’s right, no one has demanded such behaviors or celebrations from them, yet now they demand that we behave and celebrate only what they deem acceptable. No one has forbidden them from behaving or celebrating as they desired, but now they demand that we not behave or celebrate what they dislike.

As was noted in the article: “The Pro-Palestine demands are incompatible with the beliefs of the Jewish student organizations on campus, leading the student groups Terps for Israel, the Jewish Student Union, and J Street U to abstain from the project.

Looks like exclusivity and intolerance are back in vogue. Their demands failed to be inclusive for a historical minority group. They wantonly discriminate in their stated attempt at inclusiveness, tolerance, and equality. Apparently, just as on an Animal Farm, everyone is equal, except that some are more equal than others.

Welcome to Obama’s America, land of the formerly free.

    * Except for health insurance within the United States, where the government did not seek the consent of We the People before mandating that we be coerced into entering into contracts that extract our wealth from us. But that mandate is directed from the tyrannical government, not from the corporations who seek to do business. It is not the corporations that are malevolent, it is the governments.
