Rosetta moves in

The Rosetta engineers have decided it is safe to lower the spacecraft’s orbit and bring it to within 13 miles of Comet 67P/C-G’s nucleus.

They will spend a week at that altitude and then decide if it is safe to descend to only 6 miles.
