The failed Arctic Ocean predictions of global warming scientists

Link here. The post at the link carefully documents the endless numbers of failed doomsday predictions foisted upon us for the past decade, claiming that due to global warming the Arctic Ocean icecap would be gone by 2018.

Instead, in the past three years there is evidence that the icecap has begun to thicken and expand, recovering from a two decade decline. Though this is not a certain conclusion, what is certain is that there is no sign of the icecap vanishing, in any sense. Every prediction documented at the link, by so-called experts, is completely bogus.

There is a reason the public does not take global warming very seriously. Its advocates have cried wolf too many times. Their predictions of doom have consistently failed. Every. Single. Time.

Genesis cover

On Christmas Eve 1968 three Americans became the first humans to visit another world. What they did to celebrate was unexpected and profound, and will be remembered throughout all human history. Genesis: the Story of Apollo 8, Robert Zimmerman's classic history of humanity's first journey to another world, tells that story, and it is now available as both an ebook and an audiobook, both with a foreword by Valerie Anders and a new introduction by Robert Zimmerman.

The ebook is available everywhere for $5.99 (before discount) at amazon, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit. If you buy it from ebookit you don't support the big tech companies and the author gets a bigger cut much sooner.

The audiobook is also available at all these vendors, and is also free with a 30-day trial membership to Audible.

"Not simply about one mission, [Genesis] is also the history of America's quest for the moon... Zimmerman has done a masterful job of tying disparate events together into a solid account of one of America's greatest human triumphs."--San Antonio Express-News

I don’t remember if this was posted here at the time but National Geographic came clean about the starving polar bear video was not actually because of global warming.

But because it raised awareness, they have no problem lying.

    To effectively understand –
    Global Warming/climate change is happening
    Global Warming/climate is bad
Global Warming/climate is caused by man
    Man is bad
To save the world – Man must be controlled

Simple – pretty much sums up the bulk of the true believers – a religion by another name

The media will always run with the more dramatic stories, the vast majority of scientists that have been long forecasting a slow decline in Arctic sea ice don’t get the headlines.

“Instead, in the past three years there is evidence that the icecap has begun to thicken and expand, recovering from a two decade decline.”

Seriously?? You’re going to claiming that a dubious increase in sea ice volume for 3 years against a 20 year trend constitutes evidence of a change in the long term trend? Seriously?

Fortunately I am old enough to recall when the hysteria was global COOLING.

As the great Louis Rukeyser used to say: “It looks like the end of the world is going to be a little late again this year.”

You are going to take a 20 year trend assign a bunch of end of the world meaning to it and apply it indefinitely out into the future? Our climate is filled with naturally occurring 20, 50, 100, and even 1000 year fluctuations.

The best thing for environmentalists that want to control people through the evolutionary fear of an uncertain future is that the climate is always changing, so there will always be something going to to try and scare people with.

    No, haven’t done that.

And the trend of a decline in arctic sea ice volume is at least 4 decades old.

    Andrew_W,
You wrote: “And the trend of a decline in arctic sea ice volume is at least 4 decades old.

You mean to say that when we were saved from the coming ice age the Arctic ice began to decline instead of grow? I, like Steve Holmberg, remember five decades ago, when the Arctic ice cap was going to grow to two miles deep and extend as far south as Minneapolis.

Oh, thank goodness that we are no longer under threat of freezing and thus no longer need overbearing government regulation and intervention in order to save all our lives from a frozen wasteland of death and season after season of failed crops.

And that the Northwest Passage will remain open a little longer (it was closed off during the Little Ice Age).

Whew! Dodged a bullet (made of ice, of course) on that one.

    Bring on that global warming!!!!!

Have land in Texas in case it gets colder and land in Canada in case it gets warmer.

    Bring it on baby.

Well, now you all might believe this global warming. Stevie Wonder said it is what gave Aretha Franklin Cancer…

Stevie Wonder links Aretha Franklin’s cancer to ‘global warming’
