    Now no one can say that there isn’t money to be made on Mars.

  • That is cool, not only for the use of a penny, but the background behind it.

    We need more of this: cars in space, pennies on Mars, playing golf (badly) on the Moon. People need to feel connected to a thing before they are on board with it, and familiar objects in space, objects that everyone uses, help provide that connection. It makes space less of a foreign land and more of a place people might think they can go. Even if they don’t go themselves, the idea that they could is powerful enough.
