I always find it amazing how common it is for highly liberal folks ranting about the need for tolerance and civil rights, etc in public — who off camera are flaming intolerant racists. I know the progressive movement in the US had hardcore racism in its core (Woodrow Wilson is hailed as the father of the progressive movement, and was so racist he hailed the movie Birth of a nation which hailed the rise of the “heroic” KKK, and the movies producers credited Wilsons writings as the foundations of the movie.) But you’ld think after nearly a century the movement and its leaders wouldn’t be so racist?!
