Is the ultimate Republican Party failure theater about to happen?

The dead Constitution

For the past thirty years the Republican Party has been amazingly consistent in almost every political battle put before it by the increasingly leftist and radical Democratic Party. Almost every single time, the leaders of this so-called conservative political party have put on a big show of resisting the leftist and radical proposals put forth by Democrats, only in the end to back down, making a deal that allows those policies to take effect in some manner or another.

I am not sure who originally coined the term, but in recent years this incompetence has often been called “failure theater.” The Republican Party justifies its failures by citing the big theatrical fight they put on. They then promise they will fight harder next time, only to fail again. And again. And again.

This failure theater has been going on repeatedly for decades, since Ronald Reagan was president. Then Donald Trump came along. Unlike the establishment Republicans who ran for president since Reagan (Bush Sr., Dole, Bush Jr., McCain, Romney), Trump generally does not back down easily. He does not participate in failure theater. When he fights he fights to win, which has made the corrupt leadership in the Republican Party very uncomfortable for the past four years.

Now it appears that extensive vote tampering and election fraud could very well have stolen the 2020 election from Trump. The states where the evidence of such criminality is most evident are Georgia, Pennsylvania, Arizona, Wisconsin, and Michigan. Though the final totals in these states show Joe Biden the winner, there is ample evidence that votes for Trump were cancelled, votes for Trump were switched to Biden, many Biden votes were manufactured falsely, and that the tabulator machines that counted the ballots were not reliable and might even have been programmed to give Biden extra votes.

All of those states have legislatures controlled by the Republican Party. Two of those states also have Republican governors, so that the Republican Party controls all of the legislative branches.

Yet, despite the extensive and disturbing evidence of election tampering against their Republican presidential candidate, none of those Republican-controlled legislatures or governors have really done anything concrete to investigate these allegations. When the election boards for all these states certified the results, with all the governors going along, including the two Republicans, Doug Ducey in Arizona and Brian Kemp of Georgia, the legislators stood by meekly, allowing those certifications to stand.

The legislatures did elect an alternative slate of Trump electors. Some legislatures did hold investigatory hearings. Some have even issued subpoenas, though they did nothing when the election boards defied their subpoenas. None however has done what the Constitution clearly gives them the power to do, which is to come into legislative session and vote to decertify the disputed election totals because of these allegations, and refuse to send any electors to Congress.

If they did that, the vote for president would fall, as per the Constitution, to the House of Representatives, voting not by representative but by state caucuses. Since the Republicans control a majority of those state caucuses, Trump would win.

They have not done that. Instead, they have put on a fake show of action that, in the end, is designed to accomplish nothing. Another example of failure theater. In fact, practically everything these legislatures have done has been a perfect metaphor for failure theater.

Now the fight shifts to Congress, where on January 6th that body will gather to certify the disputed electors sent to it by the states. Numerous Republicans in the House, totaling more than 140, have said they will vote against certification. Similarly, a dozen Republican senators in have said the same. All are demanding a thorough investigation into the election totals. All insist that the public must be reassured that the vote was legitimate before a Biden victory can be certified.

And it is all hogwash, and more failure theater. When Congress meets on January 6th, these objections will be filed, the House and Senate will then each perform a two-hour debate, and then vote, not as per the Constitution but in accordance with an 1887 election law. Since the Democrats hold the majority in the House, they will win there. And since the Republican leadership in the Senate opposes any investigation into the election allegations, there will be just enough opposition from enough Republicans to give the Democratic Party minority the victory in the Senate as well.

No investigation will happen. Joe Biden’s questionable victory will be endorsed.

And the Republicans will once again claim that they fought as hard as they could, but couldn’t do it. Vote for us so that next time we can win for you!

The problem will be that no future election will be trustworthy. If the Democrats had stolen the election with voter tampering, they will now know they can do it with impunity. Even if every American voted Republican, the Democrats will use this power to manipulate the totals to guarantee victory forever. They might allow some Republicans to win to create the illusion of a real election, but only for awhile. Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Given such power the Democrats will eventually move to eliminate elections entirely. Why bother with the charade when they know they’ll win anyway?

Sounds ridiculous? Maybe so, but that is exactly what has happened in every democratic country where an opposition party allowed such voter tampering to go on. It is as predictable as sunrise.

If the Republican Party allows this fraud to stand now this will be their last performance of failure theater, their ultimate performance, an award-winning example of a party of true losers.

Much of the blame for this charade falls not to the rank and file of the Republican Party but to its leadership. The legislative leaders in Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Arizona have made it clear they have no interest in questioning the election results. The Republican governors in Georgia and Arizona have sided with election bureaucrats rather than their own party. And in the Senate Mitch McConnell (R-Kentucky) has done everything he can to stymie any investigation or opposition to certification. Without the support of their leadership the Republicans who sincerely wish to investigate the election have had their hands tied. In Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan, and Arizona they have pushed hard, but so far that push has been in vain.

Will this depressing scenario happen? We will find out on January 6th, in Congress. On that date the future of the Republican Party, and the nation itself, will be decided. Either we shall have an honest investigation into the election, or we will cement forever the ability of politicians to fake the results to their personal preferences.

The choice is up the Republican Party. We know the Democrats don’t stand for election honesty. They have made it clear that they are not bothered by these election tampering allegations. They like them, for they give them extra votes.

The survival of American democracy is now up to the Republicans. We will find out on January 6, 2021, whether they are up to it.

    I am certain that (IMHO) the GOP know that to back Trump (and the constitution) the dems will release their goons and turn the cities into war zones. Just like Chamberlain, they give up freedom for peace, which will never happen.

    It is really hard to get ammo, or loading supplies. Not sure where this will lead.

    However, your assessment of the GOP politicians is correct Bob. My guess is there is too much dirt on them held by the dems. How many were on Epstein’s island?

    Trump was a bull in a china shop and he broke an awful lot of things that desperately needed to be broken.

    There is still much more corruption to be rooted out before true reforms can be made, but at this point I think it requires more strategy and less bravado.

    Four years of a castrated Harris Biden administration should give the populists and libertarians in the gop time to take over from the neocons and be a better party in 22 and 24.

    I adopted the “Washington Generals” as my nick name for Republicans the first time I heard the reference. I think its more apt if not dated allusion. How popular are the Globetrotters today anyway? The Washington Generals are there to be beaten. Everyone knows it. But that doesn’t mean they can’t put on a pretty good show of defending the opposition.
    An impressive show by the Globetrotters keeps ticket sales up and the Generals know that is their meal ticket as well. Similarly “a rising tide lifts all boats”, and more government spending means more power for everyone, in DC, majority and minority party. And you can see the end from here. Should the small government party actually have a chance in power, their base may expect results which neither party want. So, absolutely, the Generals need the Globetrotters to win.

    Looks like the “fundamental transformation” of this country promised by the most malevolent president in American history into a banana republic is just about complete. The third Obama term is about to begin. I hope the pusillanimous Republicans get it good and hard. Unfortunately the rest of us will suffer for their cowardice with $5/gallon gasoline, doubled heating and cooling bills, an unleashed China, Iran, and NKorea, an invasion of millions of poor starving uneducated illegal aliens (aka democrat voters), men in women’s bathrooms, speech police, and so much more misery.

    And any Republican (And Democrat for that matter) that stands idly by and allows fraud and corruption to prevail under the cover of partisanship and / or their fear of repercussions even after they have clearly been shown the hard evidence and they still choose the surrendering of their fiduciary responsibilities to the Constitution, they must be excised from their positions of political power ASAP. And that will happen.

    And the political world in America and the world in general will never be the same again. On January the 6th, 2021, you will be witness to history on many levels. (And you thought that electoral cheating was prevalent when it was just the Democrats needed to cheat)

    If this situation is not properly addressed by the Congress then there will never again be an election in American that can be trusted by the populous, we at that point will essentially be owned and no longer a Democracy, a Democracy in name only. Why would anyone vote in the future if the situation is not properly addressed? At this point this is no longer about a candidate or a political party.

    If not now then when? The time has arrived America.

    I have not ounce of doubt that the CIA and the FBI has information either first hand or in the files acquired from the likes of Epstein and others on most ALL politically empowered politicians in America. And they are used to “Influence” certain people at certain times. And if you remember Chief Justice Roberts for instance and the Obamacare decision.

    Said one thing, and then did the exact opposite using some contorted logic. That does not just happen IMO.

    And if they don’t have the incriminating information they have it created in an ala Swalowell scenario depending on whom they are targeting.

    As to those specific charges? ANYTHING is possible IMO.

    Anything, and I mean anything at these levels IMO is possible. No perverted or corrupt scenario that you can think up or would not even occur to think up is possible. No doubt.

    Keep in mind that certain things that go on in the world would not even be believed by the majority of the general public, it is beyond their belief system capacity. Even if they saw a video, with sound and full documentation they would have trouble processing and believing it..

    And that is a psychological characteristic of the human animal. And it is well understood and it is used appropriately as a tool of manipulation in the Political realm against the Pedestrian Realm. Have no doubt.

    Is an ever-expanding government an unavoidable feature of democratic republics? I’m beginning to worry that it is. As long as one-man-one-vote is the means of exercising political power, the tendency will be for the electorate to pick the pockets of the wealthy minority while politicians fall prey to the easy out of increasing the national debt, thereby picking the pockets of future generations. Ignoring constitutional limits on government power are facilitated by the massive numbers of voters who want more and more government. It’s a soul-crushing realization and I don’t see a way out.

    As parasites take over an organism the organism dies, and in a democracy the same applies. As voters vote themselves more printed money (multiple $2000+ covid checks, guaranteed income, $27 trillion+ debt, etc.) the $ value declines, responsible savers and workers who are paid in dollars are punished, responsibility is punished. When you reward irresponsibility you get more of it, when you tax responsibility and success you get less of it. The dollar has lost ~10% in foreign value in the last 10 months due to the 5+ trillion covid printing spree (including the FED printing), which is a 10 % tax on all purchases of foreign products, which is a large part of U.S. spending (cars, refrigerators, electronics, etc). The international financial community is finally having enough of the US insolvency, and the dollar will drop further as this insolvency intensifies. It is not only the future generations who will pay, it is occurring now. The US is tilted on the slope of a financial precipice that most are not aware of. If the Leftists win the Senate as well, the US will be lost in that precipice as the parasites take over completely.

    This site is exciting because it reports on the cutting edge of the most exciting frontier for mankind, one that requires a whole new kind of vehicle to get there.

    It’s the same with politics. It’s fitting that cutting edge minds (in my opinion) of what ails America and who seek solutions, congregate here. I wish they’d approach 21st century politics, facing an out-on-control fire of excessive government empowered by technological media wizardry and incestuous political “opposition” parties that are a choice between Coke or Pepsi. To get to liberty and self-ownership, in today’s time it’s a little more like rocketry, we want the same successful result but we’re going to need a whole new vehicle.

    Whatever happened to our free and fair elections? We used to send out election observers to other countries to ensure that their elections were free, fair, and on the up and up. Now it is we who need the foreign election observers.

    Don’t forget the feckless judiciary and SCOTUS. You can’t continue to deny evidentiary hearings and say there is no evidence. Subpoena every election official under threat of perjury and put them under a hot light and see what happens. Why is there no talk of impeaching Justice Roberts for dereliction of duty?

A good example in Germany is Merkel’s CDU party, which is also transforming into a party that worships cultural Marxism. I also find it interesting that revolutionary Trump is actually not seen as conservative in the political sense. Conservatism seems to be defeated. But what stronger political force can overthrow and defeat the culture-Marxist clique that rules the entire West? It really has to be a very strong and utterly ruthless force that is supposed to save us.

    This is the end result of a system that enables career politicians. The Republicans are quite content to be the minority party as long as they are able to continue drawing paychecks election after election. Their goal is job preservation, not representation. This explains why they choose to do what is easy instead of what is right.

    It took me until I was about eight years old before I figured out why my brothers always won when we flipped a coin. One was so proud of me for finally getting it. He grew up to be an in-demand and highly valued (as in paid!) leader of men, and he had no formal education.

    Questioner, we live in a world where it is agreed that in the political world, “progress” refers to increasing the size of government. We also live in a world where we either progress or stagnate. Progress is a good thing. So agreeing to wrong language is just dumb.

    A fighter pilot who has the advantage of altitude, above his prey, is on offense. Always. A person tasked with conserving something, the conservative, is by definition at lower altitude, on permanent defense, and those who claim their way is “progress” by officially labeling it “Progressive” put themselves in a permanent superior position of offence.

    Watch your language and watch others’ language.

    When true leadership shows up, in this instance between 2016 to 2021 in the form of D.J. Trump, who just happens to value America as intended, those who are professional politicians and who have had their own way like wild children and have serviced and enriched themselves first and have long ago forgotten what they have been empowered in order to accomplish, representing the interests of their constituents.

    True leadership disrupts the status quo and those who are career politicians have an extreme aversion to this model and will ally with the opposition in order to rid their self enrichment model of the disruption and the threat to their operational model of self interest.

    They are, especially in the instance of Washington D.C. power, one in the same as we can all clearly recognize at this moment in time.

    The result here in 2021, in Washington D.C., in the country, in the world, will be Trumpian.

    The Congress needs Biden to win, the Senate needs Biden to win, the Communist Chinese need Biden to win, the Iranians need Biden to win, ANTIFA needs Biden to win, Black Lives Matter needs Biden to win, George Soros needs Biden to win, Klaus Shwab needs Biden to win, Google needs Biden to win, Apple needs Biden to win, Facebook needs Biden to win, Twitter needs Biden to win and the list goes on, and Biden did not win.

    I think that after all is said and done in the Congress after presentations are made that Trump will or should remain the president. And that is not wishful thinking on my part, and I am without doubt partisan. The evidence as I have been observing it grow is undeniable and can not be unseen, except by self serving professional politicians.

    What ever plays out it will without doubt be Trumpian.

    I propose the following to fundamentally improve politics and government:

    – All applicants for an office must have a certain minimum qualification and have been employed or self-employed in a productive economic sector for at least 10 years.
    – Every applicant must prove that they have sufficient income that is independent of the state.
    – Every applicant must be older than 25 years.
    – Each applicant must have completed either military or other service for the nation.
    – Each applicant must have at least one child.
    – The formation of parties is not permitted.
    – A rigorous selection process is applied to the large number of applicants for office to create a pool of the best candidates from which the final office holders are determined by lot.
    – The term of office is limited to two years. You can only reapply once.
    – If there are signs of corruption, the incumbent immediately loses his office and is excluded from any political activity for life.
    – Office holders are personally liable with their assets for their decisions up to a certain amount of money.

    If your proscribed rules were to be implemented there would never be anyone in any political office. And if there were anyone that did or wanted to comply with your rules they would be more than worthless and would represent an even higher threat to everything than now.

    Politics is warfare, get used to it, there is no “Better” condition or state of existence in time that was “Better”. It does not exist, although it could exist here under a Communist Chinese type model where whom ever does not comply with the clearly stated rules just disappear.

    And that is what is being attempted to be installed here.

    I appreciate your optimism, I however am not hopeful. Our system was designed to handle these type of events (and had done so before) but it’s been broken, and maybe beyond repair. It took 100+ years of endless fiddling, but here we are.

    This morning, NPR interviewed about a half-dozen voters in Rep. Elise Stefanik’s district in New York, one she just won by 18%. ALL objected to her stance on voting against accepting the electoral votes for Biden . Some were Democrats, and the rest were the proverbial “lifelong Republicans disgusted by Trump” or by her decision to support him. One voter did say that he suspected fraud had occurred, but the reporter challenged him to name an example and he could not, which she implied was an indication he was ill-informed. Unfortunately he did not respond that it was more logically an indication that he listened to NPR!

    My point in relaying this anecdote is that we will never save this country until we realize WHO we are saving it FROM… which is the media.! Because of near-universal media malfeasance, the honest citizens and leaders of American have almost no leverage to overcome the criminal political class, no matter how blatant or clumsy their crimes!

    The current media must be destroyed! Legally if possible, but destroyed nonetheless! They cannot be saved or reformed – they must be recognized as already dead to us, just as we are to them! Any strategy for victory must have the death of the media as a precondition.

    Why then do you blame media for today’s ills? In a free market, consumers are responsible for how they consume a product.

    You are talking about CONTROLLED MEDIA which means tyranny. Communists seek to control media.

    The solution is to eliminate excessive government regulation that currently strangles small media that would give consumers a much wider and better journalism than they get now.

    RESTRICT THE MEDICAL INDUSTRY from marketing their products in any but trade or specifically targeted media, the same as alcohol and cigarette industries are prohibited from marketing in certain ways with good reason.

    That is a place to start. But first BLAME THE RIGHT VILLAIN — lazy media consumers and excessive government regulation that makes it too expensive, a losing proposition financially, to operate a profitable news medium.

    REMEMBER who ultimately put Trump in office. PLEASE. Consider the possibility at least that Trump is as much a puppet and actor as Obama … and Cruz? Perhaps … we are already IN a Civil War, if not a revolutionary war. A real leader would have stood up to C19 by now, vote fraud aside. Trump failed in the first week.

    The fight must be for something true, liberty and self ownership as per the Constitution, but adapting to 21st Century technology, which can herd human beings like cattle, we witness presently. Space is our saving, our to-the-rescue frontier, I know it in my bones.

    Andrew Winter, you figured it out before I did. I voted relulctantly for Dubya at first, then admired him after awhile. But that was when I still believed in voting “against.” A unicorn alas … I was disillusioned, too. Homeless patriots like you and me, and plenty also from the Democrat side who are on our page, are legion, we just annoy “conservative” talk show hosts, and my wise ol’ pop (Sowell Friedman kind of thinker), a former huge fan of conservative talk shows (even went to the Bake Sale), was wise to them by 2010.

    So anymore, I don’t align with the “conservative” view either because they still think in terms of a map of how not to get there. I finally figured out, No Wonder, it’s like naming a white dog Blackie, and a black dog Whitey. Complex problems a lot of times have really simple solutions. They are just not easy, but they’re simple. Simple in fact is more difficult to achieve — easy is complicated and convoluted. Simple is clean and demanding. “Conservative” by definition is on permanent defense, the inferior and losing position in conflict.

    Time to go on offense — the conservatives are the ones who want to keep things the way they are no matter what party, the liberals are liberal with government, want too much of it. America must progress with strictly limited government whose main job is to defend every individual’s right to self-ownership, whose force is controlled the same as we control fire, for our own safety; medicine, science, religion, are removed from exercising the force of government; its purpose is like fire — a force to serve we the people.

    We had better claim God or “The Creator” as above all, the One who gave us these rights this force — our government — will defend for each individual when rights are infringed. Who gave me my rights? God did! Who gives anyone the right not to be a slave? Not some politician. Otherwise, government fire, force, is restricted to a small grate of coals. Right now it is a raging fire across the globe.

    Questioner: Space will help us in two ways I think.

    1. It requires the mindset of the visionary, perceiving the goal and going for it, of using a map or instructions of how to do this. The opposite is what both political parties and their followers do today — they know what they don’t want. They debate ad nauseam exactly what it is they don’t want, how the “bad guys” on the other side of the political aisle are, all to blame.
    Self-employed folks learn to recognize such clients after awhile and refer them out because creating something for someone who only knows what he doesn’t want, means a frustrating game of “pin the tail on the donkey.” WOULD that more of liberty’s patriots recognize it in time to move forward rather than power another turn in a hamster wheel.

    2. Space is the place to knock out the source of mass hypnosis that is making people on earth behave really, really stupidly. Questioner, you pointed out wisely that the present configuration of google, twitter, et all must be terminated and reconfigured … seems to me that doing it from space is the way to do it, knock it all out and see how people get along without their aps and devices, the people have gotten along for thousands of years, the folks who gave us this great nation.

    The founding fathers thought that tyranny was so strong that a revolution would be necessary every couple of decades. It turns out that they were off by an order of magnitude. Freedom and liberty are quickly running out of alternate methods of survival.
