Consider what could be accomplished with two or more such docked payloads.

With Blue Origin involved, I would think they would be looking to create serious competition to the SpaceX Falcon 9 and Falcon 9 Heavy. If this comes to pass it will only mean good things as private companies compete against each other to increase operation efficiency and lower costs with reusable rockets.

(I hope you are right, but it is just that, a hope, I do not think it will).

I like your take that Boeing bid more, since they have more to do, vs the Taylor Dinnerman approach that Boeing bid more, since they are doing more. A subtle but important difference!
