When we were in elementary school, our civics teachers told us that the Supreme Court was there to protect our rights. Being gullible children, we believed them (oh, god, is it possible that the world isn't round, after all?). However, we were taught that in a government school, so naturally the teachers were going to tell us how government was good. (Remember when the police officer was our friend? Now everyone slows down on the highway whenever they see a police car -- even when they are already at or below the speed limit, it is just a reflexive reaction that adults have to the police.)

As it turns out, the Supreme Court does not do such a good job of protecting us from governmental abuses. Perhaps that is because IT IS PART OF THE GOVERNMENT! It is the third branch, and when a government decides to become tyrannical, what makes us think that the government will tell itself to stop doing that?

Then there is the reluctance of the Supreme Court to undo previous rulings. Thus, every step that the federal government takes in the direction of tyranny becomes a permanent part of America's enslavement, and each generation grows up to accept the previously imposed limitations and to believe that newer limitations are in their best interests (like new standards for healthcare, when the old ones were perfectly good). Can you say: "Fabian socialism?"

The good news here is that this one form of tyranny has been put off for a while, either until the Supreme Court overrules the lower court or until government finds a new way to impose on the people that particular limitation to our freedoms. Apparently, that particular appeals court was not feeling tyrannical that day.

This whole Obamacare thing, from concept, to defense, to supreme court ruling, to implementation is entirely and completely un- Constitutional and an offense to every single American alive today, has existed since 1776 and will be alive into the future.

The American government CAN NOT MANDATE any American to purchase health insurance! In addition the law in application creates a modern form of slavery to the government much like the national debt creates a modern form of slavery to that same government.

Obmacare is the crowning accomplishment of a kind of government that strives to control its people and is an agregious offense to the Constitution, it is in fact an abuse of power. And there is no amount of "good intentions" that can right this offense, it is beyond the intent and purpose of the Constitution and the government that it describes and empowers.

I await Obamacare's repeal, and in my dreams the dismissal of the Chief Justice Of The Supreme Court for playing the political game.
