Yes, they were lied to but the people who passed this bill were not the voters, they were congressional Democrats. Did Democrats know what they were voting on, were they in on the fraud? Without a doubt some of them were but the bill wasn’t written just to confuse voters, it was written to confuse the congress that passed it.

This does not excuse congressional Democrats, far from it. They have defended Obamacare long after it was known to be passed through fraud. But it is not the fault of the American voter that Obamacare passed. It was Democrat party leaders that took advantage of the stupidity of their people in congress to pass the ACA and who lied to their own base about it to get re-elected in 2012.
