There are other darkened areas in the “south” of the picture, and many dark streaks appearing from around the “water line” along the cliffs in the north of the picture…. If I was going to.go.look for extant life on Mars…. This picture, from the many thousands I’ve looked at in my life…. Well… This is where I would be heading!!!

But it’s the “face on Mars” guy ) claimed were evidence for “glass tubes” a decade or so ago……
An interesting geological phenomenon that as far as I know, does not occure in terrestrial channels..
