There's also still an EIS being worked for two more potential Starship launch mounts and towers at the notional SLC-50 "greenfield" site so far as I know. I believe that work started at the same time as the EIS for SLC-37 so it may see the light of day shortly too. Then there is the matter of notional catch-only towers near all of the launch facilities. By the end of the decade the "skyline" of Kennedy-Canaveral will be barely recognizable compared to today.

Actually, the military has been launching rockets from Cape Canaveral since 1950. (First launch was a Bumper V-2 on July 24, 1950.)

But that just underlines the point. Rocket launches are just part of life at the Cape and have been for virtually all of living memory at this point, and we're just about out of people who might have been living there before that was a thing. Public safety has to be respected, of course, but if the sound and vibrations of rocket launches bothers you, don't move to the Cape area.

Community annoyance? Find a home that has been within earshot of the Cape that was built before 1965 -- all the others were built since they've been launching rockets there. It's like people who build homes next to a farm then complain about the dust and smells.

The site plan includes two launch mounts for Starship/Superheavy (as shown in the map above). This is in addition to the two Starship/Superheavy launch facilities the company wants to build at Kennedy.

Many of us suspected that SpaceX's plans for the SLC-37 site would include two Starship launch pads, but now it's finally clear that this is indeed the case, and we can even see how they'll be laid out, in detail. Very exciting.

As for the rest....on everything we've seen, now confirmed by this EIS, the plans for launch sites at the "LC-49" site at the far north edge of the KSC property seems to have been abandoned by SpaceX, at least for now. That leaves the launch site already under construction at LC-39A, proceeding under its own EIS, which would give SpaceX a total of 3 Starship launch sites at the Cape. They'll need more than that in the long run, of course, but 3 at the Cape and 2 at Boca Chica is likely enough for the initial flight activity they want to undertake in the 2020's, at least...
