I think it’s also important to repeat what Bob noted a few months ago that Putin directed significant budget cuts for Roscosmos for 2022-24. So the Civilian Space sector will probably be a low priority in Russia for the foreseeable future. The sector of the economy that is the economic backbone of the Putin regime is the Oil & Gas sector, which also provides many geopolitical advantages. It should also be noted that Putin doesn’t control the Russian Oligarchy, but his power is tied to their power, and often Putin has to mediate their competing interests.
