Genesis cover

On Christmas Eve 1968 three Americans became the first humans to visit another world. What they did to celebrate was unexpected and profound, and will be remembered throughout all human history. Genesis: the Story of Apollo 8, Robert Zimmerman's classic history of humanity's first journey to another world, tells that story, and it is now available as both an ebook and an audiobook, both with a foreword by Valerie Anders and a new introduction by Robert Zimmerman.

The print edition can be purchased at Amazon. from any other book seller, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit. The ebook is available everywhere for $5.99 (before discount) at amazon, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit. If you buy it from ebookit you don't support the big tech companies and the author gets a bigger cut much sooner.

The audiobook is also available at all these vendors, and is also free with a 30-day trial membership to Audible.

"Not simply about one mission, [Genesis] is also the history of America's quest for the moon... Zimmerman has done a masterful job of tying disparate events together into a solid account of one of America's greatest human triumphs."--San Antonio Express-News

California newspaper vandalized for defying pro-immigration groups

Fascists: A California newspaper has been vandalized because of its insistence on describing illegal immigrants as “illegal immigrants”.

The Santa Barbara News-Press’s front entrance was sprayed with the message “The border is illegal, not the people who cross it” in red paint, sometime either Wednesday night or early Thursday, according to the newspaper’s director of operations, Donald Katich. The attack came amid wider objections to a News-Press headline that used the word “illegals” alongside a story on California granting driver’s licenses to people in the country illegally.

So will someone explain to me how these pro-immigration vandals are any different from the Islamic terrorists who murdered the cartoonists at the French magazine Charlie Hebdo?

In truth, they are only different in their scale of violence. The pro-immigration vandals have not yet risen to the level of the Islamic terrorists, but give them time, give them time. Anyone who thinks violence and destruction is acceptable to prove their point will eventually decide that murder is acceptable as well.

The support of my readers through the years has given me the freedom and ability to analyze objectively the ongoing renaissance in space, as well as the cultural changes -- for good or ill -- that are happening across America. Four years ago, just before the 2020 election I wrote that Joe Biden's mental health was suspect. Only in this year has the propaganda mainstream media decided to recognize that basic fact.

Fourteen years ago I wrote that SLS and Orion were a bad ideas, a waste of money, would be years behind schedule, and better replaced by commercial private enterprise. Even today NASA and Congress refuse to recognize this reality.

In 2020 when the world panicked over COVID I wrote that the panic was unnecessary, that the virus was apparently simply a variation of the flu, that masks were not simply pointless but if worn incorrectly were a health threat, that the lockdowns were a disaster and did nothing to stop the spread of COVID. Only in the past year have some of our so-called experts in the health field have begun to recognize these facts.

Your help allows me to do this kind of intelligent analysis. I take no advertising or sponsors, so my reporting isn't influenced by donations by established space or drug companies. Instead, I rely entirely on donations and subscriptions from my readers, which gives me the freedom to write what I think, unencumbered by outside influences.

“In truth, they are only different in their scale of violence.” I totally agree, its just the degree of protest that they are driven to and willing to undertake that separate the two. How close are they to going over the line?

This is the progressive interpretation of what boarders and offensive speech is and are. This is what I call a “philosophical litteralist”. They intend to insert their new and “progressive” self serving / subjective interpretation of what a historically established through conflict boarder is, what free speech is, what free is (our president, the highest ranking philosophical litteralist, has just announced that the first two years of community collage will be “free”, which means that “others” will be paying. Is 35 billion dollars really free?).

This and things like it IMO is what the phrase “new world order” refers to and is the agenda basically set into motion by G. Bush senior and has been pushed incrementally forward by every proceeding president, party affiliation aside, which is now supposed to culminate with the election of the closer and continuing dynastic family member and agenda fulfiller Jeb. The American Constitution is very passe to these true believers. The people of America, if it is at all possible now, must deny them their agenda.

Presumably there are no boarders in there self serving interpretation, but lets ask this question:

At what ethnicity or civilization does the Mexican boarder melt? At the European Spanish who conquered the indigenous native Americans? The Incan civilization? The Aztecs? The prehistoric mongoloids that crossed over the Berring land bridge?

Using their logic their are no boarders. I say again, the Constitution is not a suicide pact.

    > So will someone explain to me how these pro-immigration vandals are any different from the Islamic terrorists who murdered the cartoonists at the French magazine Charlie Hebdo?

Sorry, Robert. That was my first thought, too, when I read the headline. This is terrible and unacceptable behavior. It is the kind of gratitude we receive when we take in and coddle illegal immigrants.*

Once they discover that we do not prosecute them for their illegal actions, they are emboldened to perform more illegal actions, such as vandalizing people’s businesses just for expressing their free speech rights, and they may even escalate into felonies, including murder. This has happened more than once to coddled illegals in San Francisco. Policies of “sanctuary cities” leads to dead victims of the ingrates.

Unfortunately, just as with the Muslim terrorists in France, this week, their appalling behavior is accepted by the rest of their friends, families, and communities.

    * For those illegal immigrants who don’t like that phrase, please substitute “misdemeanant immigrants.”

It doesn’t matter what word pro-legal immigration people use as a term for illegal immigrants because that world will always be characterized as racist. Seriously, you could use the term Friends and it would be called racist because the goal is to de-legitimize and dehumanize the opposition.

We need a national language and it should be the first language of all our schools.

It should be a requirement of citizenship. Every other nation on this planet has a national language and requires it to be learned before one gains citizenship. It seems to work pretty good.

If they do not want to assimilate then they can go back.

I have a question specifically oriented to this web site.

Q: What place does Islam have in the exploration of space?

Think of the havoc that would occur if and when an undercover (taqiyya) radical Muslim is placed in space.

Q: How do you deport 10 million illegal aliens?
A: The same way you eat an elephant, one bite at a time…

  • PeterF

Why did the president suddenly announce his ridiculous “free” (first two years) (for a two-year degree?) plan for community college tuition? What is he trying to distract our attention away from?

  • Cotour

    “gratitude”

The Irish had gratitude, the Italians had gratitude, the Mung had gratitude, the Viet Namies had gratitude, the Chinese had gratitude, the Russian Jews had gratitude, holocuast victims had gratitude, the South Americans have gratitude, any reasonable person that comes to America because they have been persecuted and terrorized has gratitude and has full appreciation when they find themselves in the sanctuary America. There is one immigrant group who comes to America and sees that as an opportunity to infiltrate it and take it over as specifically directed by their “religion”, ISLAM.

So your statement at its foundation is a bit naive because you have incorrectly determined that all of the immigrant groups included are equal. They are not.

The simple answer is he is a philosophical Marxist, a community organizer, who finds himself the president of the United States Of America. His goal is to appropriate as much of the peoples dirty filthy money and redistribute it to those who have “nothing” and attempt to enshrine as much of that as he can before his time runs out.

Thats the simple answer, keep them confused and appropriate as much of their money as possible in the time allotted.

I don’t know how you could have thought that I was speaking of those who came legally, since I specified otherwise. Please reread my comment.

You missed my point. All of the groups that you listed came legally, most found a way to assimilate into our culture — yet added to American culture some good elements of their previous cultures — and were grateful for our hospitality.

The “pro-immigrant” group that Robert wrote of (it is actually pro-misdemeanant-immigrant) does not even believe in our First Amendment. They believe that America’s rights apply only to *them*, not to Americans or their businesses, and they are willing to break the law of our land to enforce their misguided point of view that our laws should not apply to those who illegally enter our country. They are not grateful enough to follow our laws; not when they enter, and not when they destroy our property and violate our rights.

Along with our rights comes the responsibility of following our laws. These pro-misdemeanant-immigrant people want the rights without the responsibility. They believe it is OK to destroy property and break laws, as long as they get what they want: for the Santa Barbara News-Press to shut up. Whatever you do, don’t shut up.
    http://behindtheblack.com/behind-the-black/essays-and-commentaries/what-ever-you-do-dont-shut-up

Except for the noted exception, the groups you mentioned were willing to take on the responsibility in order to enjoy the rights. That is just *one* sign of *their* gratitude.

La raza does not see our boarders as being legal because those boarders have been drawn as a result of conflict and “their” land was taken through conquest. “They” really “own” California. (who did they take it from?) These are essentially Mexican community organizers using our own system to defeat us. Our Constitution and their knowledge and interpretation of political correctness is their weapon.

Any immigrant who comes to America through a desire for their personal freedom, whether through legal or illegal means has an appreciation of America and what it offers and are happy through time to truly become American and fully assimilate, they eagerly look forward to it. (I have no issue with these people.)

Those who come here and are Muslim, and I am very sure that there are a significant number of them that are very happy to be here and to be American and to assimilate, but there are those who lead them religiously who are determined not to assimilate because it is against what their holy book commands. This is the fundamental difference between Islam and our Western thought process, its like water and oil, it does not mix. Where ever they find themselves, especially if they are driven to be extremists through conflict or insult their will be problems and through time their holy book commands them to convert the “others”. The extremists minority will drive the bus and everyone else is along for the ride to paradise under penalty of death if you question or dare think to modify or reinterpret the doctrine.

So legally, illegally does not matter in the least. We all tend to apply our logic and morality to problems that are thought about totally 180 degrees different by this kind of person. We are playing one game and they are playing something completely different but using our rules that they know that we will adhere to. That’s just long term dumb.

  • PeterF

The trilogy; “Red Mars”, “Green Mars”, “Blue Mars”. begins to explore the problems with fundamental islamists in space. But the author saw more of a threat from the “Mars First!” environmentalists.

  • Edward

    > who did they take it from?

Funny you should ask. Let’s examine who owned it first:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xv7pu_YZCrg (2 minutes)

The above video talks about Texas, but the concept applies to California, too.

    > So legally, illegally does not matter in the least.

I disagree. legally is still legal, and illegally is still breaking the law. I remain unimpressed with people who come here and, as their very first act, break the law. I am still impressed with those who are willing to jump through expensive, time-consuming, and even seemingly bizarre hoops in order to come here and stay here legally.

    > but using our rules that they know that we will adhere to.

Vandalism, which was reported in the article, is not following our rules, nor are we willing to adhere to anyone’s rule that allows it.
