A calamity occurs as an orbiting Starship explodes while being refueled. The RUD of all RUDs spews space junk far and wide. Launches world wide are grounded . SpaceX is liquidated to pay for damages done to China. The Mars colonists are doomed.

Have the CIA suggest to journalists to ask the athletes about Chinese government policy. In the ensuing uproar, direct the questions onto Chinese officials. They might welcome the chance to debate the west. Anyway, would be neat to have China explain what they are doing to prevent their orbital vehicles from creating space junk.
