Readers!

The time has come for my annual short Thanksgiving/Christmas fund drive for Behind The Black. I must do this every year in order to make sure I have earned enough money to pay my bills.

For this two-week campaign, I am offering a special deal to encourage donations. Donations of $200 will get a free autographed copy of the new paperback edition of Genesis: The Story of Apollo 8, while donations of $250 will get a free autographed copy of the new hardback edition. If you desire a copy, make sure you provide me your address with your donation.

As I noted in July, the support of my readers through the years has given me the freedom and ability to analyze objectively the ongoing renaissance in space, as well as the cultural changes -- for good or ill -- that are happening across America. Fourteen years ago I wrote that SLS and Orion were a bad ideas, a waste of money, would be years behind schedule, and better replaced by commercial private enterprise. Only now does it appear that Washington might finally recognize this reality.

In 2020 when the world panicked over COVID I wrote that the panic was unnecessary, that the virus was apparently simply a variation of the flu, that masks were not simply pointless but if worn incorrectly were a health threat, that the lockdowns were a disaster and did nothing to stop the spread of COVID. Only in the past year have some of our so-called experts in the health field have begun to recognize these facts.

Your help allows me to do this kind of intelligent analysis. I take no advertising or sponsors, so my reporting isn't influenced by donations by established space or drug companies. Instead, I rely entirely on donations and subscriptions from my readers, which gives me the freedom to write what I think, unencumbered by outside influences.

Please consider supporting my work here at Behind the Black. You can support me either by giving a one-time contribution or a regular subscription. There are four ways of doing so:

1. Zelle: This is the only internet method that charges no fees. All you have to do is use the Zelle link at your internet bank and give my name and email address (zimmerman at nasw dot org). What you donate is what I get.

2. Patreon: Go to my website there and pick one of five monthly subscription amounts, or by making a one-time donation.

3. A Paypal Donation or subscription:

4. Donate by check, payable to Robert Zimmerman and mailed to

Columbia University continues to willingly condone anti-semitism among its bloated faculty and staff

Columbia University's seal
The motto means “In Your Light [God],
We Shall See the Light.” Too bad no one
running Columbia now believes in this.

Recently four Columbia University deans were caught exchanging anti-Semitic texts during a panel on Jewish life on campus, attacking some Jewish students simply because those students objected to being harassed, attacked, and even blocked from entering campus buildings by pro-Hamas protesters.

The university immediately suspended three of those deans, with the fourth, Josef Sorett (who held a top position at Columbia), allowed to remain in place after he apologized publicly for his statements.

We have now learned that the university is not going to fire those three suspended deans, but will simply reassign them to other positions.

The university placed Susan Chang-Kim, former vice dean and chief administrative officer, Matthew Patashnick, former associate dean for student and family support, and Cristen Kromm, former dean of undergraduate student life, on leave in June after they exchanged dismissive text messages about the “Jewish Life on Campus: Past, Present, and Future” panel. The three are on indefinite leave and will not return to their previous jobs, according to a Monday message to the campus community. [emphasis mine]

In other words, no one is being punished at all. Columbia’s actions are merely designed to lower the heat against the university. Once things have cooled down, it will do what it can to return things back to normal, whereby those who see nothing wrong with anti-Semitic harassment against Jews and anti-Israeli violence and riots will be allowed to run things. These individuals will still work for the college, and in fact might even be put back in exactly the same jobs, with simply their titles changed.

The highlighted words in the quote above however illustates another aspect of this bankrupt university that is also typical of most of today’s academia: All modern universities today appear to have very bloated administration overheads, filled with people doing empty make-work. For example, Columbia has more full time employees than undergraduates, while MIT — which is another typical example — increased its staffing last year by 1,200, even though its student enrollment hardly changed.

At Columbia, the dean positions for all three of these individuals had nothing to do with teaching students. In fact, one wonders what they actually did. In addition the job description for Sorett, who holds the top position as dean of the College, is as vague and empty, “…to ensure that students have the best possible experience inside and outside the classroom.”

With such bureaucratic jobs divorced from teaching, it is no wonder these individuals had time to spend advocating pro-Hamas demonstrations and harassment against Jewish students. And we should expect that track record to continue, in the coming years, since it is obvious Columbia is doing nothing to clean house and refocus itself back to actually teaching students how to think critically.

Genesis cover

On Christmas Eve 1968 three Americans became the first humans to visit another world. What they did to celebrate was unexpected and profound, and will be remembered throughout all human history. Genesis: the Story of Apollo 8, Robert Zimmerman's classic history of humanity's first journey to another world, tells that story, and it is now available as both an ebook and an audiobook, both with a foreword by Valerie Anders and a new introduction by Robert Zimmerman.

The print edition can be purchased at Amazon. from any other book seller, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit. The ebook is available everywhere for $5.99 (before discount) at amazon, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit. If you buy it from ebookit you don't support the big tech companies and the author gets a bigger cut much sooner.

The audiobook is also available at all these vendors, and is also free with a 30-day trial membership to Audible.

"Not simply about one mission, [Genesis] is also the history of America's quest for the moon... Zimmerman has done a masterful job of tying disparate events together into a solid account of one of America's greatest human triumphs."--San Antonio Express-News

  • It all really started in the U.S. with the installation of Barak Hussein Obama:

Why do people from Islamic country’s demand to come to the West?

Lee S, maybe you can answer that question?

Nah, just kidding, Sweden is a utopian wonderland.

God, the open borders policy. I mean the Globalist / Musim Brotherhood incremental invasion policy of the radical Left and the Democrat party is how its done.

Why dont those who adhere to Islam stay in their country’s of origine?

Because, they suck as Senator John Kennedy might say.

Wait until if and when Trump prevails, and he begins deporting the Democrat arranged Marxist ideology driven invasion of America.

And that victory will remain in question.

    Charles Schumer, what a Jew!

  • Jeff Wright

Don’t forget Reagan’s blanket amnesty–all the GOP got out of that was Anna Navarro

    How’s that working out?

Back then, Gephardt Democrats got red-baited for saying the same thing Trump populists say now.

  • I believe that Reagans amnesty was his hat tip to his RINO Republican corporate operators / contributor$ who were seeking cheap labor.

However, today at this level of organized governmental / Globalist Sorosian invasion the purpose is clearly focused on planting the seeds of the usurping of a “white” dominated American population.

You know, the “white” patriarchy that has brought peace, prosperity, civilization and freedom to the most people on the planet in the last 10,000 years.

The Democrats / Globalists / Sorosians seek to replace “The Patriarchy” with…………………………………………………?

And now we are down the rabbit hole.

Because the only answer to that question is Subjective authoritarian control over all Americans.

And my final point to those still confused Democrats who do not know what the hell to do this election day, consider this truth.

A vote for Joe, and it appears that the Bidens need to stay in control is essential at all costs, voting for Joe is a real-world vote and endorsement for Kamala Harris to become the president.

France as of late has through desperate Leftist political manipulation literally gone Communist. And the same for Britian. Both country’s have had their borders invaded and are now dominated by radical Islamic invaders. The Crusades redux.

The radical Left in America apparently seeks to “Destroy the “WHITE” Patriarchy” which includes the Judeo / Christian ethics that form the foundation of modernity and civilization to replace it with a Calafate.

Calafate: the rule or reign of a caliph or chief Muslim ruler:

That in the end is what the “Destroy the Patriarchy” will be replaced with, which is just another Patriarchy. Make sense to you? Not me.

And given the truth of my observation what would the first agenda be when the Calafate is installed? Isolate and or eliminate the following: The Jews, the gay, the Trans, the anyone who refuses the new Patriarchy.

There is only one hope, one path for a free, prosperous and relatively peaceful world in my estimation remaining, And, that path does not lie in empowering the Joe and Kamala “Destroy the Patriarchy” radical Leftist Democrat agenda.

So, Joe and Kammy, and all of the radical Democrats you continue on with your political charade and continue to seek to retain your political power for the many reasons that you need to retain it.

But rational Americans if they are able to have a somewhat fair and legal election, and the Democrats are heavily invested in the opposite. You keep on your path.

  • THE PATRIARCHY IS DEAD! LONG LIVE THE PATRIARCHY!

“The Feminist movement has come full circle in destroying the patriarchy which has been oppressing them. They have come full circle around to embracing a “NEW” radical “progressive” patriarchy where they will once again be oppressed. It is so hard being a woman, especially today.”
