I suppose they would have insisted that Thomas Paine, James Madison and John Jay also publish The Federalist under their true names. Anyway, you are absolutely right, Robert. The issue is not which party should be in power, but rather whether those entrusted with the public’s money will spend it carefully and wisely. At the moment, the majority of Congress do not. This is a fight that will probably last for decades, just as it took decades to build the ridiculous entitlement ediface that currently exists. But it is a fight we dare not lose. Otherwise our descendants will curse us for it.
