With our current tech we couldn’t get a ship to a star in a 100 years, or build a ship and crew so automous they could maintain the ship adn support themselves for anything like that long.

Course one thing we know for sure — a couple decades after you can finally launch your 100 year mission, you’ll be ably to launch a muchfaster ship to beath them there.
