The public pretty much assumes the IRS was harassing political opponents, and if the loudest face of Democratic assurance that no its just republican grandstanding is found to be doing this to cover his butt… this will paint all dems badly by association.

Was Begazi a criminal act of omission and incompetence or a strategic mistake by Hillary and the CIA? If Hillary was not a potential candidate for the presidency might this have turned out differently? Politically gray, pedestrian law does not apply, because the people inside the belt way in some ways and cases are before the law.

Im not suggesting that they let her slide, just that it will be used / manipulated / spun into a hatred against women themed image. The perception being the reality not the fact that it appear that either she herself or she and “others” conspired to use the IRS as a political weapon. Keep in mind that this situation can be considered as political and therefore a gray area open to interpretation, political interpretation.

I am listening to the radio and I heard that Lerner was just judged to be held in contempt. This may well live or die based on public opinion balanced against the coming election.

However, it seems Issa is having difficulty walking the talk and, to a major extent, doesn’t seem anything more than a paper tiger. I really don’t know the extent of the power Issa’s committee has, so perhaps he really is doing everything he can, but so far the results have not been terribly impressive. I fail to understand why the Republicans can never pull off the gloves and fight on even terms with the Democrats.

It’s becoming increasingly obvious that the White House and the IRS conspired to successfully steal the last election. This cuts at the very foundation of our government and something needs to be done about it. If it’s ignored then the country is not worth saving because there no longer is a country. The Republicans need to pursue this until every one of the criminals involved in this is behind bars.
