As you mentioned, using the SpaceX technology base would represent an &quot;off the shelf&quot; approach which is distinctly different than what is typically used by NASA and the expensive &quot;one of a kind&quot; technology.

This will likely rile some of the legacy space companies. Never-the-less it could potentially offer a rich scientific asset much sooner than would otherwise be possible.]]></description>
