Nor is the Republican leadership willing to insist that the administration enforce them. Likewise, the marriage laws of many states are the laws of the land. None of this is surprising, given that the president, the vice president and much of Congress exhibit no reluctance to violate their oaths of office.

Lawlessness begets lawlessness.
