That’s greater than the number of troops in Iraq and Afghanistan at the height of the wars. It is like 3/4 of the population of New Orleans moving out in a month. It is as if the city I live in disappeared. We are in the era of big numbers but this is scary and I can’t believe the media isn’t expounding on its significance.
