This feels like the most French thing ever.

I don’t know whether Ariane flexed any muscle for this to happen; things being what they are in France now, I tend to doubt they even needed to. It’s industrial policy at work, even informally. Which is fine, but I do hope that Eutelsat has a backup plan if MaiaSpace can’t get its rocket to work.
