Imagine how few there would be if they still had a caste system.

Seriously, the Indians did it right. They saw the effects of Western science and education, and took advantage of it. Notwithstanding Ghandi, the Raj may be the best thing to happen to India. Pity that folks in our own country can’t make the connection.
