You may appreciate this prospective launch company, as they use hydrogen for the fuel. Tim Dodd, the Everyday Astronaut, interviewed the company, Stoke Space:

They are using some hardware, methods, and technologies that have not flown before, but I hope that they do well despite these risks. The advantage of trying new things is that they can give an edge over the current competition. Rocket Lab and SpaceX have done well by doing things differently, and Blue Origin has a chance of also doing well. Even Virgin Orbit is able to launch for a much lower price tag to the customer than Orbital Sciences could do with its aircraft-launched Pegasus rocket.

We will have to see whether Stoke Space is able to handle its hydrogen fuel at low cost. They seem confident that they have enough people with current experience to work with the hydrogen in a cost effective manner.

Will there be a bravery medal for the first crew of Starliner?
With Boeing’s record they will have exhibited bravery!
(Do hope Boeing’s management realized how important a safe Starliner flight is to the company and let the engineers/technicians do what has to be done.)
