Genesis cover

On Christmas Eve 1968 three Americans became the first humans to visit another world. What they did to celebrate was unexpected and profound, and will be remembered throughout all human history. Genesis: the Story of Apollo 8, Robert Zimmerman's classic history of humanity's first journey to another world, tells that story, and it is now available as both an ebook and an audiobook, both with a foreword by Valerie Anders and a new introduction by Robert Zimmerman.

The print edition can be purchased at Amazon. from any other book seller, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit. The ebook is available everywhere for $5.99 (before discount) at amazon, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit. If you buy it from ebookit you don't support the big tech companies and the author gets a bigger cut much sooner.

The audiobook is also available at all these vendors, and is also free with a 30-day trial membership to Audible.

"Not simply about one mission, [Genesis] is also the history of America's quest for the moon... Zimmerman has done a masterful job of tying disparate events together into a solid account of one of America's greatest human triumphs."--San Antonio Express-News

Readers!

Please consider supporting my work here at Behind the Black. Your support allows me the freedom and ability to analyze objectively the ongoing renaissance in space, as well as the cultural changes -- for good or ill -- that are happening across America. Fourteen years ago I wrote that SLS and Orion were a bad ideas, a waste of money, would be years behind schedule, and better replaced by commercial private enterprise. Only now does it appear that Washington might finally recognize this reality.

In 2020 when the world panicked over COVID I wrote that the panic was unnecessary, that the virus was apparently simply a variation of the flu, that masks were not simply pointless but if worn incorrectly were a health threat, that the lockdowns were a disaster and did nothing to stop the spread of COVID. Only in the past year have some of our so-called experts in the health field have begun to recognize these facts.

Your help allows me to do this kind of intelligent analysis. I take no advertising or sponsors, so my reporting isn't influenced by donations by established space or drug companies. Instead, I rely entirely on donations and subscriptions from my readers, which gives me the freedom to write what I think, unencumbered by outside influences.

You can support me either by giving a one-time contribution or a regular subscription. There are four ways of doing so:

I had a conversation with a NY Democrat yesterday, our conversation went from a $20 wager on whether Obama would be reelected (I have

arrived at a confident conclusion that Obama will not be reelected, I look forward to being $20 richer in November) to the Trayvon Martin

case. I first established what media he watched MSNBC,CNN,CBS,NBC, I do not watch any of these, I find my news on the net and I listen

to many different talk radio programs from liberal to conservative. It was interesting that when I asked if he was aware, of the two that I am

aware of, purposeful 911 tape manipulations by the main street media in the Martin case which attempted to portray Mr. Zimmerman as a

racist, he had never heard of it.

He thought I was making that up.

His position was that Mr. Zimmerman was “hunting” Mr. Martin and shot him as a result of his intent to do so.

I don’t think the evidence that I have heard supports that, but it does if you are fed misinformation from the news organizations that you

    count on for your news.

This example of NBC ” massaging” a clip of Romney appears to be a segment of a continuing agenda to shape opinion.

Keep in mind that people genuinely do think differently about events, thats is a natural human condition, but a news organtization which

essentially creates news to pander to and shape a particular natural human condition is no longer a news organization, it is a proaganda

    organization, with prejudice.

Conclusion: The major media organizations have abandoned thier fiduciary responsibility to be objective and report actual NEWS to the

    people.

This is not a astounding realization, but it is much more blatant and purposeful, much like germany in the thirties.

I’ve been saying for some time now that I think the willfull misrepresentation of news by the MSM is actually WORSE than Pravda & Tass of the old Soviet Union. At least Soviet citizens for the most part were aware they were being fed propaganda – but when unaware U.S. citizens are exposed only to heavily slanted stories & don’t bother to listen to alternative sources, they really have no idea their opinions are being purposely manipulated. That is the most dangerous propaganda of all – “reporting” that fraudulently presents itself as neutral and unbiased, when in truth, it really is nothing more than blatant brainwashing. It is downright frightening to hear that someone who probably thought he was well-informed was completely unaware that the Trayvon Martin 911 tape was deliberately edited to make Zimmerman appear racist…
