GeorgeC: You can’t “shut down hard” such speculation. Its called freedom of speech.

What must instead happen is for others (like me) to point out how stupid this speculation is, reinforced by NASA’s denial. The public then needs to choose the best sources.

Ray Van Dune: No, we have not, and we likely never will. The issue was very temporary, and only required the astronaut to be held overnight for observation and then released. Not entirely unusual for astronauts coming back from six-plus long missions.
