One of the regular BtB commenters gave a nice overview of RKLB stock a couple weeks ago when it was in the low $60s and I've been watching it thinking of buying some if it pulled back. So far it hasn't and it opened at $70.15 today.

I have my investments with a financial advisor but I have a few bucks in an Etrade account I play around with in riskier stocks. I've actually done well researching stocks mentioned in the science and political blogs I follow. Not so well with the financial blogs.

Rocketlab is a wisely diversified organization, which gave them an advantage over the myriad of other small launch providers.

The R & D spent on Neutron soaks up a lot of money. After they begin revenue launches on that platform, I would expect to see them climb out of the red.

I don't know that Rocket Lab can be called a startup, having navigated a turbulent and shifting industry for twenty years. With a 69 - 4 record, they seem more of an established player.

One reference notes that Rocket Lab is second only to SpaceX in satellites lofted. As BobWatch notes, SpaceX has ten times the launches this year. Bit of a market advantage, when a 10% share marks your closest competitor.

Favorite Rocket Lab mission name: "Another One Leaves the Crust"
