To Mr. Walkie:

The beauty of Obamacare is that it blurrs the line between race and effectively (if fully implimented) spreads its largess and

wonderfulness over the entire population, black and white alike.

Thats the beauty of the thing, adjust your perspective just a bit and see what this hard drive left is all about. Don't let the fact that color is

not mentioned in the document limit your interpretation, a mere technical detail to further confuse you.

In addition, when presented with a complex and confusing problem, specifically in politics, I find it useful to simply remember foundation

concepts and begin rebuilding from that point, simplicity is the solution to the complex.

Especially when retaining that complexity is an employed strategy tactic.

And a final thought: The government has enough of the peoples money, give it no more.

We certainly agree on that point.

i think that is nice buffet wants higher taxes, but i'm not convinced that will help solve anything maybe it would make things worse. the key idea here is that the current tax code is ridiculous, it is too complex and right now I think the main purpose of the tax code is to provide political incentives to various interest groups. It is just fine for a group of people to lobby the government to get some kind of support for thier operations but can't we figure out a way for special interest groups to get what they need from the government outside of the tax code, like through grants or loans. We need a simpler tax code, it would be good for business. We need a tax code with the main purpose being the collection of tax from business and citizens. We do not need a tax code with the main purpose being awarding special favors to various interest groups. By binding the process of awarding favors to the tax collection process it makes everything worse.

key quote:

"Before you "ask" for more tax money from me and others, raise the $2.2 trillion you already collect each year more fairly and spend it more wisely."

to JGL : reparations are different from Obamacare because obamacare does not explicitly deal with the issue of race I think it is more about financial status. An arguement that obamacare is redistributing wealth makes more sense, however I think if that is the purpose of the legislation it is doing a crappy job of it, it is probably doing better at making things worse for both the rich and poor since we all know we have a gigantic flawed piece of legislation and no one knows what the new status quo will be. If you think we crossed a line between "free people maintaining individual liberty" and "human beings owned by thier nanny state" with obamacare i think you are projecting your fear of socialism a bit too much and you are exaggerating how wonderful it was being so free and maintaining our liberty with such success before this president. there's a big gray area we are ignoring when we try to simplify things too much

I was having an email conversation this morning with a friend related to general situations in our country, one of his comments

was " at least we don't have to deal with calls for reparations any more, that subject has been dropped".

I responded by asking what he considered Obama care to be?

(I consider it an offence to our Constitution, the difference between free people maintaining individual liberty and human beings being owned by their nanny state government)

What did he consider Obamas calls for " the redistributition of wealth in America " ?

Thats not just idol talk.

It occurs to me that that, reparations, is a big part of what is being attempted to be executed right now, right in front of our eyes under a

different name, its just semantics, just call it something else.

Yes its true, there are consequences to elections, but there are also cosequences to those elections.

This liberal anomoly will serve its purpose.
