If everyone else can write the needed software why not them? I bet they can and did bring in the best they could find. even to the point of asking other companies in similar fields.

They more than likely have different hardware fighting each other and its way too late to switch it out now. Thus blame it on the programmers.
Don’t let the world know they knew about this for years.
