As Robert writes:

"But if the Democrats maintain their power after today, expect them to move even harder to cancel the Bill of Rights while oppressing their opponents and anyone who dares challenge them. They want freedom to die, and will do all in their power to kill it as quickly as possible.

Let us hope today’s election however signals a major political shift. In 2020, that election caused a major normalization of blacklisting, political violence, and oppression. In 2022, the public has now the opportunity to signal a different shift, towards, freedom, liberty, and the restoration of American republican values."

As of Wednesday afternoon, it appears that the anticipated "major political shift" has not occurred, and the midterm elections did not signal the kind of massive repudiation of the Biden Administration's policies that many people had hoped for. Instead, they seem only to have highlighted the vast differences in how opposing segments of our society perceive reality and what kind of country / culture / society they wish to live in. Clearly, a large cohort of Americans now do not *want* "freedom, liberty, and the restoration of American republican values." Instead, they seek the promised order and security of a one-party authoritarian state and they have no taste for either actual self government or the burdens of citizenship. Likewise, they choose to put their fates into hands of marginally functioning, woke automatons like John Fetterman, the champion of lazy, cringing, and not very thoughtful people everywhere.

Under such circumstances, perhaps the best that those of us who espouse traditional conservative values can hope for is some kind of a return to a reconstituted Federalism in which the sundry states and cities of this nation acknowledge these differences and simply agree to live and let live. (One notes that even the Supreme Court no longer enjoys bipartisan support as an institution. What, if anything, is the cultural DNA that now holds this country together if not the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and the Rule of Law?) Let Florida be Florida, let Pennsylvania be Pennsylvania., and just go on with life. Otherwise, again based on the results of this election, I can't foresee how any consensus solutions might emerge that will satisfy both the wishes of the people of Washington State and the people of Texas. We seem -- with lots of patient prodding from the Gramscian left -- to have just grown too far apart to live in a consensus-based culture, and we are no longer "one nation, indivisible."

For people on the left, of course, the live and let live option is not viable, and -- given their single visioned, authoritarian view of the world -- they cannot allow dissent even if it happens in places outside their own jurisdiction, cf. the PRC's present unhappiness with Taiwan.

What, then, are conservatives supposed to do? Like Taiwan, or perhaps Israel in a sea of Islamic states, I suppose that we can resist what seems to be inevitable* in our own enclaves of freedom for as long as we can, but the tide of history (as opposed to the putative "red wave of Nov. 8") certainly seems to be running against us. Again, just ask the voters in Pennsylvania -- or in Atlanta / Fulton County, Georgia -- what *they* believe about the things that are most dear to us.

*Especially in light of open, officially encouraged entry into this country and the blatant policy of population replacement at an unrelenting pace. Given time and the Biden Administration's open borders agenda, even states like Florida might eventually be settled with new and more passive and compliant populations. An actual "red wave" of conservatives in Congress might have slowed down these demographic trends, but, as of today, the left has been given a green light to open up the country to "new residents / voters" even more than it has done in the past.

Jan 6th? Insurrection?

No, just a riot that was instigated and spun up by arm's length government proxy operatives in order to muddy their opponents and keep them from power. The Jan 6th demonstration was just a form of politics, the people redressing their representatives. Thats it.

It was not pretty, and I wrote at the time that those who participated in that riot did great harm to the Conservative / Trump movement. And that damage was ensured by the opposition and their operatives who were given a pass for their activities I.E. Ray Epps if you need an example.

Previously posted but directly related to this panel about governments attempt to absolutely control via big tech / social media authoritarianism what is allowed to be talked about related to "Approved" speech related to healthcare, drugs and treatments.

"Dr. Campbell and he is not happy finding out who is going to be allowed to say what is what in healthcare and who’s money pays for that official opinion:

Sites Orwell’s “New Speak” V ” Old Speak”.

Interesting, he is old and does not apparently agree with the “NEW” more informed paradigm."

This is an ongoing international / Democrat / Socialist / Globalist agenda that is being attempted to be forced on the entire world and not just here in America.

If America falls to these Socialist death by a thousand cuts agendas the entire world falls. And that is just how essential it is on this midterm election day for the Republicans, who I also do not trust as far as I could throw them, to prevail in massive never before seen numbers across the nation.

And that is what must happen today.

Its political warfare and it's all Strategy, no Morality.
