]]> By: Andrew_W https://behindtheblack.com/behind-the-black/points-of-information/rocket-lab-raises-an-additional-140-million/#comment-1061461 Fri, 16 Nov 2018 18:26:48 +0000 https://behindtheblack.com/?p=54818#comment-1061461 The investment by ACC is a bit incongruous with what they’re supposed to be about, in NZ we have a strange system with the state owned entity ACC having a legislated monopoly on accident insurance, they’re an inefficient bunch of layabouts that are always pleading poverty and calling for higher ACC premiums (collected through Inland Revenue), suddenly they’ve got tens of millions to invest in a rocket company.

Given the incompetence of government departments to pick winners, Rocket Lab suddenly looks like not such a good investment. ;-)
