It has to do with the behavior of today’s extreme leftists, who often consider themselves above the law, who often appear to not respect election results (as did the rebels in the south), and frequently commit acts of violence against those they disagree with.

The fourth story here is about government officials who did not obey the law. Interesting that you have no concern about the other four stories.

Think about that when you judge efforts to remove monuments to that awful inhuman cause.
