Yes they will work as long as you have the right plug adapter and cevoertnr for your appliances. Cuba’s electricity is 110 volts, 60Hz, but most hotels and resorts have 220 volts. Electrical outlets take flat plug prongs.Be sure to take the right adapters for the right appliances. If I'm not mistaken, an adapter for a cellphone, PDAs, chargers may be different than for a curling iron.As for currency, it is better to take CAD dollars as opposed to US funds. If you convert US to CUC, there will be a 10% charge CAD will not incur a charge.Visa and Mastercard and CAD travellers cheques are accepted no American Express (or any other credit card or travellers cheques from a US financial institution.)If you choose to book trips on your credit card, it will be charged in US dollars. Tipping in CUC is preferrable. If you ever need to tip in CAD dollars (especially if you didn't have a chance to change your money as soon as you landed), just remember the loonies, toonies and other coin are of no use for them. They can't use them bills work for them .and not out of greed or expectation, but they would have difficulty exchanging it for themselves.Don't change all your money all at once. Change as you need it is advisable to change your money back to CAD coming back home since CUC have no value outside of Cuba.Have a beautiful time in Cuba! Be prepared to not want to come back home lol for sure you'll go back soon after.
