Readers!

My July fund-raising campaign to celebrate the fifteenth anniversary since I began Behind the Black is now over. I want to thank all those who so generously donated or subscribed, especially those who have become regular supporters. I can't do this without your help. I also find it increasingly hard to express how much your support means to me. God bless you all!

The donations during this year's campaign were sadly less than previous years, but for this I blame myself. I am tired of begging for money, and so I put up the campaign announcement at the start of the month but had no desire to update it weekly to encourage more donations, as I have done in past years. This lack of begging likely contributed to the drop in donations.

No matter. I am here, and here I intend to stay. If you like what I do and have not yet donated or subscribed, please consider supporting my work here at Behind the Black. You can support me either by giving a one-time contribution or a regular subscription. There are four ways of doing so:

1. Zelle: This is the only internet method that charges no fees. All you have to do is use the Zelle link at your internet bank and give my name and email address (zimmerman at nasw dot org). What you donate is what I get.

2. Patreon: Go to my website there and pick one of five monthly subscription amounts, or by making a one-time donation.

3. A Paypal Donation or subscription:

4. Donate by check, payable to Robert Zimmerman and mailed to

The IRS claim that two years of Lois Lerner’s emails were lost when her computer crashed is simply not believeable.

Working for the Democratic Party: The IRS claim that two years of Lois Lerner’s emails were lost when her computer crashed is simply not believeable.

More here. And here a Democrat demands a special prosecutor.

I have been traveling so I missed posting the original story about this absurd claim by the IRS. It is a downright lie and a coverup and should be answered with prosecutions and imprisonment.

Genesis cover

On Christmas Eve 1968 three Americans became the first humans to visit another world. What they did to celebrate was unexpected and profound, and will be remembered throughout all human history. Genesis: the Story of Apollo 8, Robert Zimmerman's classic history of humanity's first journey to another world, tells that story, and it is now available as both an ebook and an audiobook, both with a foreword by Valerie Anders and a new introduction by Robert Zimmerman.

The print edition can be purchased at Amazon or from any other book seller. If you want an autographed copy the price is $60 for the hardback and $45 for the paperback, plus $8 shipping for each. Go here for purchasing details. The ebook is available everywhere for $5.99 (before discount) at amazon, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit. If you buy it from ebookit you don't support the big tech companies and the author gets a bigger cut much sooner.

The audiobook is also available at all these vendors, and is also free with a 30-day trial membership to Audible.

"Not simply about one mission, [Genesis] is also the history of America's quest for the moon... Zimmerman has done a masterful job of tying disparate events together into a solid account of one of America's greatest human triumphs."--San Antonio Express-News

Our country is now a banana republic.

The Executive Branch acts lawlessly doing what ever it wants to achieve its dubious objectives.

The Judicial Branch is a joke. They ignore the Constitution and come up with absurd rulings based on their political beliefs. Ruth Ginsburg even went so far to complain about having to ‘operating under a rather old constitution.” And went on to say, ‘I would not look to the US constitution if I were drafting a constitution in the year 2012.’ How can we trust this woman to do her job when she obviously has no respect for the document that is the very foundation of our nation?

As for the Legislative Branch, they seem more interested in keeping their jobs then governing and most of their power has been transferred to agencies like the EPA, FDA and the ATF. This in turn has diluted the citizens ability to influence the acts of Government because their representatives are no longer the ones making policy.

The Democrats have exposed themselves as Marxists who believe the end justifies the means and the Republicans don’t even have the guts to challenge an out of control President.

I suspect the lost e-mail incident will result in a lot of posturing and speeches as both sides set themselves up for the next election, but little more. Even if they wanted to do something, who’s going to do it? Eric Holders Justice Department?

I hope I’m wrong, but I think we have now entered the end game of the socialist takeover and I believe Obama knows it. He believes that if he can push through ‘immigration reform’, the existing middle class will be neutered and the Left will now have total control over the Government, allowing the really smart people like him to plan our future.

Sorry to be such a downer. I really hope I’m wrong and would be more then happy to convinced of it.

I think your reference to “banana republic” is dead on target.,
    I’m also sorry to say…

The unbelievable part comes from the fact that email is a server side function, not a client side one. So the lady’s emails were not just stored on her laptop, they were also stored on the sending and receiving email servers. So yeah, they are telling the kind of big fat lie they wouldn’t tolerate from someone they were prosecuting.

As a fellow I.T.’er , i know that the sheeple have a very hard time understanding the FACT that e-mails and text messages are FOREVER…

And now let the NSA provide the meta data as it relates to her email account. This is raw contempt for the people of America and the Constitution. Remove the irritant to freedom as per the Constitution.
