The 16th Amendment was a bad idea. Not only did it create the ability for the government to abuse the taxing power 100 years later and violate the very rights government is supposed to protect, but it allowed the government access to such an unlimited supply of money that it freely overspends without regard to the need for the expenditure. Exhibit A: Star Trek spoof videos (unfunny though it is, did we really need to spend money on it?). When people ask “where is the waste in government,” you can’t point to a line item in the budget, but it is there nonetheless.

Forget the Flat Tax idea and go back to the days before the 16th Amendment, the days of limited federal income and limited federal spending and power.

It is time to end the IRS as we know it.

Abuse of power, access to healthcare records and political intimidation all add up to one thing: TYRANNY!

Folks, if we can’t recognize tyranny now, we never will.
