Nothing would please me more than the people throwing out long term senators and congressmen, starting with McCain, Graham and Shumer.

I find the term “brain drain” amusing, as though Congress is currently in the hands of the most capable and competent people, and not the most opportunist and corrupt. It is time for a complete housecleaning. I suspect even the best legislators would applaud the public at last reaching the point where they refuse to accept this nonsense anymore. A new slogan for 2014: “Throw them all out — and continue the task in 2016 and 2018. NO ONE is indispensable.”

I thought that Congress and staff were supposed to have the same healcare plans as the rest of us. Their healthcare costs are supposed to be the same as everyone else’s. So how would they have found less costly healthcare in the “real world?”

And if the well-paid Congressional staff can’t afford Obamacare, what chance do the rest of us have?

And why shouldn’t we expect a “brain drain” from industry, as well? Isn’t the increase in part-time workers similar to a “brain drain?” Employers will have to find even more skilled part-time workers in order to get the same amount of work done or make do with less productivity. And we part-time workers still have to find our own healthcare, unlike those pampered Congressional staffers.
