Mission creep.

I left teaching because, as a male, I could no longer protect myself from a random student’s claim that
I had “touched them inappropriately”. Most teachers are now female. So are most all teacher sex offenders.

(Just a thought: Aren’t most teacher union employees not female? Where is the alimony and child support going to come from?)

I’ve friends who left corporate America decades ago because white males were automatically never going to be considered for promotion.

I don’t think it’s necessarily racism, even though it is.

I think it’s more about identity politics, and we should embrace our identities every bit as much a they do.

“The British Royal Air Force has suspended job offers to white men to meet their diversity targets. No longer will white men be hired to pilot the RAF planes. They are the wrong color and gender.

The head of recruitment resigned over the impossible diversity targets. The liberals are compromising the UK’s safety to achieve their diversity targets.”

Obviously, a civil Rights violation and a violation of the Constitution.

What does the Left teach? Hatred, racism and retribution. Why do they not teach mutual respect?

Because then they could not teach hatred, racism and retribution and divide people into tribes and keep them in line and voting for them and: hatred, racism and retribution.

They like it, it suits them. If they did not have that they would have to be honest with the people, then no one would ever vote for them.

The teachers’ unions have lawyers and those lawyers must know that these provisions violate civil rights laws. So why are the unions even putting these demands on the table, unless they are simply bargaining chips to be negotiated away when the time comes.

It’s simply virtue signaling to the rest of the left and to the black and other minority teachers in the district. Yeah, they know it will be struck down in court but they don’t care. They won’t be paying the bills, the taxpayers will, and the lawyers who were paid to write this nonsense will be getting paid all over again to defend it in court.

The sad part, to James Street’s question, is that there are some parents, some people out there who would prefer the racial quota, even for themselves and their children.

The larger portion of the public, of course, would SAY they want (or at least accept) the racial quota while actually, actively seeking out the more qualified. It’s not white liberals whose kids are being educated in DC schools, after all.

A law I’d love to see: “In the case that a city, state, or other administrative body, such as a school district, enacts a law or policy that is facially a violation of a constitutional right, the cost of subsequent litigation will be borne by the persons responsible for enacting that policy. If the policy had been in effect prior to litigation, they will be responsible for any damages or costs even if they chose to cancel the policy or fail to defend the policy in court so as to attempt to avoid costs.”
