Genesis cover

On Christmas Eve 1968 three Americans became the first humans to visit another world. What they did to celebrate was unexpected and profound, and will be remembered throughout all human history. Genesis: the Story of Apollo 8, Robert Zimmerman's classic history of humanity's first journey to another world, tells that story, and it is now available as both an ebook and an audiobook, both with a foreword by Valerie Anders and a new introduction by Robert Zimmerman.

The print edition can be purchased at Amazon. from any other book seller, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit. The ebook is available everywhere for $5.99 (before discount) at amazon, or direct from my ebook publisher, ebookit. If you buy it from ebookit you don't support the big tech companies and the author gets a bigger cut much sooner.

The audiobook is also available at all these vendors, and is also free with a 30-day trial membership to Audible.

"Not simply about one mission, [Genesis] is also the history of America's quest for the moon... Zimmerman has done a masterful job of tying disparate events together into a solid account of one of America's greatest human triumphs."--San Antonio Express-News

Today’s blacklisted Americans: Conservative news organizations, as proposed by Columbia journalism professor

The cancelled Bill of Rights
What this academic wants cancelled.

They’re coming for you next: In complete ignorance of the free speech’s most basic principle — not to give the government or any ruling body veto powers over anyone’s speech — the head of the digital journalism center at Columbia University, Emily Bell, recently demanded exactly that, calling for the government and news media to tighten its rules to restrict speech at conservative news organizations.

Bell was testifying at a House hearing engineered by Democrats to encourage such censorship.

Bell said that the unprecedented events of 2020 and 2021 coincided with “widespread and often politized information” on “conservative cable news channels” and that local reporters need to “learn new cadence.” She added that the country needs to “rethink what public broadcasting is in the digital age” and “apply some pressure to the platform companies to allow much greater auditing.”

While she had couched her words carefully, there was no mistaking her meaning. She wants the government, the media, and the big social media platforms to work together to silence any conservative opinions she dislikes.

I would give her the benefit of the doubt and consider her merely sincere and naive, someone who simply wants to stop misinformation in the press, except that the only misinformation she identifies is connected with conservatives and conservative protests. Somehow the bad reporting in connection with the rioting by Antifa and Black Lives Matter, designed to hid their violent and rebellious nature, seemed perfectly okay with her. Nor was she apparently bothered by the effort of the mainstream press and the big tech companies like Twitter and Facebook to censor all mentions of corruption by Biden and his son Hunter, prior to the election.

To put it bluntly, Bell is a typical leftist academic, partisan to her bones and eager to smash her boot into the face of anyone with whom she disagrees. And her goal is to smash that boot into the face of all conservatives, now and forever.

The support of my readers through the years has given me the freedom and ability to analyze objectively the ongoing renaissance in space, as well as the cultural changes -- for good or ill -- that are happening across America. Four years ago, just before the 2020 election I wrote that Joe Biden's mental health was suspect. Only in this year has the propaganda mainstream media decided to recognize that basic fact.

Fourteen years ago I wrote that SLS and Orion were a bad ideas, a waste of money, would be years behind schedule, and better replaced by commercial private enterprise. Even today NASA and Congress refuse to recognize this reality.

In 2020 when the world panicked over COVID I wrote that the panic was unnecessary, that the virus was apparently simply a variation of the flu, that masks were not simply pointless but if worn incorrectly were a health threat, that the lockdowns were a disaster and did nothing to stop the spread of COVID. Only in the past year have some of our so-called experts in the health field have begun to recognize these facts.

Your help allows me to do this kind of intelligent analysis. I take no advertising or sponsors, so my reporting isn't influenced by donations by established space or drug companies. Instead, I rely entirely on donations and subscriptions from my readers, which gives me the freedom to write what I think, unencumbered by outside influences.

I think it’s even worse than you make it out to be.
She’s a “professor of journalism” at the most famous US school of journalism.
So her words carry weight and act as a stamp of approval for any totalitarian censorship legislation (or executive orders) the Dems want to impose.
Anyone remember the press freakout when Trump complained about reporters? How “Trump is threating the foundation of the Constitution – a free press” .
But Biden and friends shouldn’t have to complain about bad press – they should be given the power to silence anyone who asks uncomfortable questions..
And 1 remember when the thought of a corp like Dominion seeking to destroy a media company would have united journalists to defend a free press…
The Jan 6 riot is being milked completely by the Dems. Truly a Reichstag fire opportunity. But implying that Jan 6th was so convenient that perhaps it was planned is of course forbidden.

Good (?) news is there are still a few real journalists on the left side of the spectrum. Andrew Sullivan, Glenn Greenwald and Matt Taibbi are people I may not always agree with but they have journalistic integrity and are willing to speak out even if it’s not accepted in their circles. Which is why they’ve been banished from mainstream media and now publish on Substack…

    Have a good night comrades!

Leftists, Liberals and other assorted modern-day fascists have made “projection” and art form. They cleverly blame their political and societal enemies of the very things they, themselves believe in and promote. The Democrat Party is the new home of the same kind of intolerant bigotry and hate that Mussolini, Hitler, and Stalin made infamous in the 20th century. They have zero interest in debate and will not acknowledge that anybody, not them, has any worth or voice in this world. “1984” was a work of fiction, but 2021 is revealing the new Ministry of Truth as the mainstream media, Twitter, Facebook, Amazon and Disney. They decry civil war and yet are the very instigators of the one coming.

Perhaps we should promote an award for censorship efforts, akin to the Darwin Award, that recognized zeal and accomplishment in the struggle to limits the freedom of speech of those you disagree with?

The “Big Brother Award”? The “Muzzle Award”? Other ideas?

Related: THEY TELL YOU WHO THEY FEAR THE MOST

Matt Gaetz is an up and coming presidential candidate for the Republicans, and you can plainly see that he is fully engaged in developing his presidential aspirations.

“Allegations Against Me Are as Searing as They Are False” – Matt Gaetz Responds to Scurrilous Hit Piece by New York Times (thegatewaypundit.com)

And I suspect that this story is fabricated and is designed specifically to take him out of politics and out of the running for president. And the NY Times is all in and ran it for that purpose.

I know nothing about this story, have not even read it, but that is exactly what this appears to be.

This is a Leftist Democrat PR / psyops operation and you will see it done to many more and all will be threats to the Lefts retention and further acquisition of power.

    Bet on it.

What are the conditions that cause a rebellion?
    https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2021/03/what_are_the_conditions_that_cause_a_rebellion.html

    My summary of the article:

Rebellions occur when three internal conditions are met, along with at least one external factor.
    The three internal conditions:
    1. A leader.
    2. A population of followers.
    3. A defining moment.
    One external factor:
    1. In the American Revolution that was France.

In the United States of 2021, we have met the first two internal conditions but not the third.
    1. We have potential leaders, most notably President Trump.
    2. We have the long-suffering population, angry and motivated.
    3. We have not, however, had that one defining moment of final and irreversible decision to launch a rebellion.
    One external factor:
    1. The external factor might involve communist China.

Meanwhile President Trump has started a new website to communicate with his supporters:

The Office of Donald J. Trump

    James Street:

Now, reverse engineer what you propose and replace the name, Trump with Biden.

    Interesting result.

And I am not just being contrary, I agree with what you propose. But the other side also fills in those boxes to certain degrees and they are both confident and desperate. And that makes them just as dangerous to their opposition, maybe even more so.

The democrats MUST drive as far and as hard as they possibly can going into the mid term elections because they understand that if they can not force their minority opinion through and on to the American population and enshrine their methods of fraud and cheating, they will be steam rolled.

And so it is netter to see them as cornered animals and desperate in the long term, and their confidence will be short lived. Every election from now on is pivotal. And I suspect this will remain so for many years to come.

THEY TELL YOU WHO THEY FEAR THE MOST #2

Just one more example of an FBI / DOJ / former government agency employee once removed player, but still in the game player trying to effect politics?

“Former Federal Prosecutor David L. McGee, Accused by Rep. Gaetz of Extortion, Represented Robert Levinson In Kidnapping Case with Iran (thegatewaypundit.com)”

Its getting much too easy to see everything now, pure balls to the wall S.O.M. and they no longer care how obvious it is. TECHNOLOGY is their best friend, and their worst enemy. A very sharp double edged sword no doubt.

Politics, the dirtiest, filthiest most corrupt game that human beings play.

Time, lots of it, is required to learn the skills one needs to become a decent engineer, doctor, architect, physicist, biologist, astronomer. Four-year and advanced post-graduate college degrees in those fields are smart and well justified.

The skills one needs to become a very good journalist, one can learn in a two-year trade school course. ALL of the rest, including ethics, are things one either brings to the table or learns on the job, the best and only teacher for real journalists.

The “need” for 4-year college degrees in journalism is solely the result of the “need” for a make-work program to employ teachers in spite of the best interests of the students. How do I know? I am a journalism graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism from a well respected state university (better known for its engineering, architecture, agriculture, economics, and aeronautical departments than any of the liberal arts fields). Out of some 50 courses I was required to complete, exactly TWO gave me information I needed to do a good job in the decades I spent earning my keep as a journalist and writer.

I know first hand, personal knowledge, of the true value of four years of university in order to be a “real” journalist: a joke on the students, the parents, and news consumers.

  • janyuary: Though I agree with you about the silliness of today’s “journalism” degrees, they fail not because one doesn’t need a good college education to become a good journalist, but because today’s universities no longer provide a good college education.

To become a good journalist you should be very well grounded in the philosophies and literature of western civilization. Since such knowledge today is considered evil white racism, you can’t learn it in schools any longer. Thus we end up with journalists who support censorship and blacklisting.

I sent this email out the other day and my sister replied:

    PROJECTING POWER, CONFIDENCE AND STRENGTH?

THAT IS NOT WHAT I GET OUT OF THIS PICTURE.

LOOKS LIKE MR. MAGOO TO ME.

“Oh my God, tell me he does not have a shopping bag!

    My reply:

Nope, its full of cat food, it was discovered. How do you know its all a fraud?

He is trying to project that he is vibrant and strong by carrying his own brief case (Filled with cat food) onto the plane.

And the leader of the free world, the for now most powerful man on the planet would have his brief case carried by his underlings onto his plane because he has other things to think about and do.

Its all a fraud that is being perpetrated by the Democrat leadership that has plainly been taken over by their Leftist superiors, and they are running on a pure S.O.M. agenda. By any means necessary.

And Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer are responsible for this further degradation of America.

And it is all by design. Mistakes being made on the border? Not for one second, flooding the country with illegals, even though there is currently a growing number of Covid cases coming across with them re infecting the country. It is a necessary evil as long as the long term agenda is accomplished.

These actions by this kind of American leadership should chill you to the bone.

    CAT FOOD!

Robert, the finest journalism teacher I had at that school, a former celebrated writer for the New York Times, had no college education and zip journalism degree because there was no such thing at the time he and others, such as William Shirer (arguably the best journalist ever) began writing for newspapers. All that the FINEST journalists needed was a few skills, some smarts, and self determination. Colleges fail when they try to teach those things.

How did so many very fine journalists manage to do what they did with ZERO or little college education?

I maintain: getting a college degree in journalism is like getting a Bachelor of Arts in bussing tables and waiting on customers. Four years of college. It’s not that today’s education stinks, it is something else.

    Ref– The New York Times;
An elitist, statist, piece of excrement, for it’s entire existence.
The Ochs-Sulzberger family started out as Confederate slave-holders, and they went downhill from that point.

  • janyuary: Ah, but they also lived in a society that was permeated with those values of western civilization. I bet that journalism teacher had on his own read some of the great literature and philosophy, on his own.

    New term and its Definition:

“Opportunistic bioterrorism: Concealment of the emergence of a biological agent, pathogen or a disease by acts of commission or omission with the knowledge that such an act will harm or kill humans’ animals or plants with the intent to intimidate or coerce a government or civilian population to further political or social objectives or by using a situation to get power or an advantage.”

Strategy Over Morality in other words.

    http://www.indiandefencereview.com/spotlights/covid-19-the-chinese-military-and-maj-gen-chen-wei/

The Communist Chinese get it and are operating in this what is a warfare mode, and the American people and their leadership?

” EXPLANATION: Strategy Over Morality describes a two-tiered “conversation” between a Public and their Empowered Leadership where the Public believes there is only a single, no tiered conversation occurring and that single conversation is assumed by the Public to relate to the Public’s morality and truth model perspective. ”

“CONCLUSION: The public lives and operates under a subjective moral code or within a “Pedestrian Realm” perspective which they assume their leadership which exists within the “Political Realm” is constrained by. This is a subjective false perspective conclusion on the part of the public. Leadership at its existential core is not about morality, truth and honesty, leadership is about the fundamental exercise of power and survival.”

    New term in deed.
