That’s a point but the craft have differences. One reason I think I heard for the Atlas being chosen by Dream Chaser and Boeing is that a Delta carrying them would drop stages in inconvenient places.

Also the cargo would need to be converted to the different carrier. I remember cargos that converted from shuttle to EELVs had a 30%-40% weight growth of things needed to adapt.

If so, switch over to the D4 and ditch the Atlas V, and get off the Russian teat. Additionally, larger manufacturing runs of the single design would be cheaper than 2. Or split into two companies and compete as it was designed initially.
