The regulation requires that a company has landing permission before launching a reentry vehicle. Instead of reducing red tape and easing the complexities of doing business in space, the Biden administration made it harder to do business in space.

Because Varda is going through Australia for its landing credentials, I suspect that the U.S. still has too much red tape for Varda’s liking.
