Britain has recently shown an eagerness to get into the space launch business. There are two launch sites in Scotland, and Britain has passed laws making launch somewhat easier. So, why would they drag their feet on permitting an airborne launch, away from the public and more harmless than the Scottish launch sites? Ray Van Dune may be right. Could it be, as with Elon Musk in the U.S., that there is a personality squabble? Everyone is equal, but some are less equal than others?
