Obvious as it is to say it, regardless what the remote interpretations are of the geological formation of mars, we simply have to go there in person.
Every day I’m more impressed and more a believer in what Musk & SpaceX is aiming for. It’s the grand imperative. As Larry Niven and Dr. Jerry Pournelle use to say, “It’s raining soup in space!”
I sure miss Jerry Pournelle more each day that passes.
