					<description><![CDATA[Great photo! To cause such an elongated crater the impactor would have needed to come in at a very steep angle and very slowly... Perhaps slowed by a significant atmosphere? Or more likely in my mind it could be some form of volcanic feature? 

  Very much a head scratcher! As you often remind us, Mars is very, very alien.]]></description>
