Much Canadian and American blood was spent to save Europe from the NAZIs and Europeans would not shed blood in other countries conflicts, leaving the dying to British, Australian, Canadian and many many Americans. Exactly This. And I would also add the complete lack of action on Illegal Immigration. I believe if they had done something useful about either one they would be doing well. If they had tackled both as they promised they would be looking at historic levels of support.

Of course the downside would be that one of the RNC Candidates would now be winning the Primaries and he (probably Bush? yes?) would immediately water down if not reverse any gains that may have been made by that point on Obamacare or Immigration…..
