Two things I remember from my early childhood are ‘Star Trek’ and the Apollo program, and both had a direct influence on my decision to attend engineering school. I recall watching science/tech documentaries in the 80’s and 90’s, and when engineers and scientists were asked why they got into their field, the answer was nearly always some variation of ‘Star Trek’. Mr. Nimoy was part of the engine that made that machine go.

Mr. Nimoy was talented in many areas, but to be remembered as Spock is a high honor.
